CURRENT STATUS:
Fixing PC. Work is back on track though.
So after I made the mistake of going to the hospital with intense swelling and pain in my entire left side of my face (They were kind enough to make me wait 2 and a half hours in the waiting room, only to tell me they can't actually help) I was then taken to the Emergency Dentist. Who were actually fully booked.
But apparently my mum called them, and cried down the phone. So they gave me a spot. We're both at our wits end with this. Cause Dentists have been messing me around for a week; and it's only getting worse. I now can't eat. Like at all. For the last 3 days. To say I'm hungry is an understatement. Drinking is painful, but I have to stay hydrated.
Sadly the infection was too bad in my jaw, so they couldn't operate today. I literally can't open my mouth because of it. So I've been book an appointment next week on Tuesday for the operation. Or extraction. Depends how complex it's gonna be. So until then, work may be sporadic. Today and tomorrow I may be too out of it, but maybe by the weekend the antibiotics will take effect and I will be able to at least function enough to work. Had to even take time off my other job because of this (My paycheck is going to be very small I think)
Again I apologise for all this. I really didn't think it would get this serious. But, it did. Once I've had the tooth removed, I should be 100% ok and back to regular art work! Please don't hesitate to contact me if you have any concerns (Though I may not respond tonight. Strong painkillers are now kicking in and I might try to get some sleep for the first time in 3 days)
FA+

And it could take 12 weeks to be seen in hospital.
The NHS is a fucking treasure, amirite?
I hope you get well soon, I symathise with you =<
Luckily the ladies at the Emergency Center I went to were super nice to me. I was a nervous wreck cause I have a super fear of anything hospital like. What would have cost me about £300 privately only cost me £22. So I'm thankful for that. Think all the meds I was given are about £18 as well. Which is so much cheaper then going private, which was what all the other dentists were pushing me to do.
Hope you can get your tooth sorted out soon as well D:
Here in the states you have about the same wait time, if not longer for an ER visit. I know it's going to hurt but try to drink protein shakes to keep from starving. Years ago my brother had to have his jaw relocated and his mouth was wired shut for almost 2 weeks after. He lived on protein shakes and pudding from a large syringe with a tube during that time.
Yer I think in most places the health service is terrible. Doesn't help that many of the patients who go into A&E shouldn't really be there. While I was there, writhing in pain, they saw two people with a twisted ankle before me. A twisted ankle... I twist my ankle all the time, never thought I should go to a doctor about it :/ Some people take the free medical service a little too much for a ride.
they give you any pain meds to help?
i found in such situations mashed potatoes and yograt are your best friend.
I just had two mouthfuls of yogurt before my meds, but it set my jaw off and nearly made me pass out lol. Eating is just too painful right now. Even drinking hurts like a bitch. So hopefully the meds will start working soon. At least I'm losing a tad bit of weight from this lol.
IB working doesnt suprise me, suppose to be a antiflam so might be reducing some of the swelling.
im sorry your going through this. had somethign similar happen, not as bad but i stuffed bread next to it, helped for about 15 mins.
went throuhg like 2 or 3 loafs of bread a day. i tried a oxycodine...after a hour it didnt help, so took a shot of teq to try and get it to work better....yeah...it didnt and i spent next liek 4 hrs on the bathroom floor sicker then a dog :P
i wish was something i could do or help.
