Moved to new house
I'm a country dog now.. I'll be in a sleeveless t-shirt and a backwards camo hat within the month, dad gummit. Anyway nothing is painted, all my stuff is in a pile in the middle of the floor and I haven't been able to set up my computer so my commissions are paused as is everything else.
By the way if you want a commission, I had a few interested but they haven't gotten back to me so the 3rd + spots are open if you would like to be in the queue. I should be getting everything set up once I finish painting with colors I'm sure to regret.
So about the house, I'm out here in the country, 5 acres where the last owner kept horses but now theres just two wild ducks out there living by the little pond. I've been investing in my set up here, station for my art, getting this room to be a nice place to get things done in. I'm going for a green and wood, almost cabin feel, but right now its just egg shell white walls with junk strewn about and no curtains. So anyone out there can clearly see me doing whatever I do at night with the lights on.
Boy am I tired of lifting boxes and obnoxiously heavy furniture. Oh yeah you got a 3 seater reclining sofa that doesn't fit through any doorway? Oh whats that you got a big glass wood and metal entertaiment center with nothing to grab on to? GREAT! There is SO MUCH moving ahead of me, most of our stuff is still back in washington....
Im gonna crawl out of bed now.

Also, what kind of internet connection do you get out in the country?
So I believe we have 1 gig down and 20 mb up. There is a vote in the county for getting fiber, so if people don't vote for fiber, I'll have to bite each and every one of them.
Hopefully I can still livestream just as before! Right now I'm just falling apart on the paint, I can't pick a color, everything is wrong. Those stupid little swatches don't help. I want it to feel like earthy forest, so green and natural wood, but I'm afraid to get a green thats too green or too dark. I'm the guy on photoshop who puts down a color and then spends 10 minutes in the Hue and Saturation slider, I'm screwed.
(Away today until about nine hours from now, though, so I might not have them ready for a while.)
However, I hate asking people to rush, so please do not feel any obligation to do so.

I tell you this is getting out of control.
you could always go for a pastel light blue and paint some grass leaves and happy little trees onto the walls. :)
Also I support that example you showed Max for paint and trim, definitely has a nice forested vibe. Worst case you can see if the area has any woodworkers in you budget! It may become a project but that's because you can finally make the space yours!
I think everyone wants to live in a hobbit hole, I'll tell you what, it would be incredibly cool in there. Probably no need for air conditioning.
In town the house would probably be closer to 300k. Which is more the norm around here, maybe still outrageous in your neck of the woods? I dunno, but the acreage is what really adds to the price here. Goodness, look at me ramble, I could talk about the ridiculousness of the local market forever.
But, I digress, I'm super happy you got to find your own slice of countryside!
Length-wise is odd, great for tree planting though! Make yourself a nice windbreak and keep things cooler in the summer :D Any specific tress or is all that matters is there's trees?
That is one thing I want too, trees, everywhere! Mostly conifers because they're pretty...and the environment doesn't give me much choice.
Shh, be careful when talking the hobbit hole, you might encourage me to harass the hubby about it more often. Cooler summers would be such a nice perk, after all, one I hadn't considered.
My biggest issue about living out here is that there is no snow :< I'm all about the snow, I live for the halloween/thanksgiving/christmas season. The rest of the year can bite me.
