ooof I've done this recently, but yeah basically the best way is to record your entire work, 6 maybe 8 hours? you'll en un with 3ish GB video file but then you can edit it to remove for example the parts where you toke rests and make it more or less fluid, you end up with 1.5 to 2 hours ish video instead of 5 or 8, anyways, once you removed those parts you can speed it up to whatever time you wantand when you're done and satisfied you can delete the huge video, for example the videos I've recently worked on with was 6 hours long and almost 4gb, after working on them they're not Larger than 25mb and only 3 minutes long ^^ right now I'm at restaurant, if you want further help on how I did it pls feel free to ask me x3 I can show you what I've learned ^^ cheers

Nuts. Anyone whose seen me work knows I just do a little bit, pause, comment on chat, pull up a video, do a little more, pause. I can livestream for 12 hours and not do a whole lot x3

I'd really like to be able to make timelapses of my work on livestream. I mean how has nobody made this software? It seems pretty much a no brainer. Right now I've got Bandicam, is that what people generally use?

mmmh so if you wanna record just fractions and not flow video as normally I think obs studio allows you to drop or skip frames but I'm not sure about that hun o3o/ I mean I barely used that program

I have the problem that I zoom out too much or flip the canvas insanely often, so my timelapse would just be a tiny far away canvas glitching crazy. XD Procreate has an awesome timelapsing tool, it records the canvas on same-size all the time and displays all actions in a "row". Breaks are not recorded, only actions. I wish it was a thing for Photoshop and other art programs.

You're right, that would be a great feature in Clip Studio, desktop version that is.

For actually recording I use OBS studio though. If I recall correctly one can at least press stop on recording? No guarantees on my memory, lol.

Ah see I would use OBS but I stream with it and it wont let me stream and record at the same time. So I remember that being one of my problems, ended up downloading Bandicam, haven't really used it.

My lazy solution is just open 2 sessions of OBS, one for streaming, and the second for recording. Except with the second, just set the framerate to 1. 6 hours of video into a 6 minute thing, speed up/down at will, might just need to adjust bitrate a bit.

Instead of looking for recording software, how about searching for software to take automatic screenshots every few seconds? After you're done, you can stitch them all into a video relatively easily.

A quick google search turned up quite a few results for programs to take screenshots on an interval, though I've got no experience using any of them so you'd have to try a few and see if they do what you want.
