Nudity in "Little Bear"

In "Little Bear," he is depicted as a nude underage cub while the other characters are clothed. Why would nudity be in a cartoon that aimed at children?

If an underage kid has no problem seeing real life dogs, cats, bunnies, ferrets, horses and other animals and pets, with no clothes, they aren't going to think anything bad of cartoon animals wearing no clothes either. There is simply nothing wrong with it - unless an adult with a distorted perception of nudity comes along and equates innocent nakedness, with sexuality or porn.
When a six-year-old watches a cartoon, they don't normally question why Scooby Doo, Bugs Bunny and the Road Runner are wearing no clothes, any more than they question why their pet rabbit wears no clothes. If they do question it, it's almost always a curiosity over whether the animal might get cold. Then an adult can explain that their fur keeps them warm in the same way the our clothes keep us warm. There's nothing inappropriate with that.
It's sad that there are some adults in this world who seriously confuse being innocently naked with something sexual or inappropriate.
