That's the way Netflix works. With very few exceptions, they like to dump every episode of a season at once.

I know, I just didn't realize that Beastars is available somewhere else first with a weekly episode, so it isn't on Netflix yet.

the first two volumes of the manga are already out in the US. I highly recommend reading it.

Just finished watching both episodes, and damn this show is good!

I really like how they improved on the rough sketchy style of the manga. It's very refined. I can't wait till I can watch this on Netflix.

Not to sound like a anime nerd, but I read the manga and I adore that they did such a good job translating over some of the sheer awkwardness and weirdness of Legosi. :)

Just a warning. Take nothing you see in the intro as granted. The story likes to make you think one way only to show you later that things are different from what you have thought. That can include the intro, depending on what you think you see.

Regretabbly CGI animes always look terrible to me. Which hurts me because I like beastars. But I'll stay with the manga.

Ive seen it I just can't like it. But it has always been like this for me people isisting the cgi in anime is great and I couldnt stand it.

I think you just don't like the idea of CG animation, rather than not liking how it looks (since in this case it looks exactly like drawn animation)

Ive been looking into it a bit and dang i do like the concept and love the animation but I really cant handle gore so ive been super unsure about watching it unfortunately

Hmm, yeah i don't know if there will be much of that later on since i don't know anything about the story and visuals (certainly could be) but at least so far in the two episodes that are out there's just a little bit of blood and that's pretty much it

Careful, Beastars likes to throw curve balls and subverts expectations (and does that the right way). There isn't much gore in it as far as I know, but seeing a herbivore selling his fingers to carnivores, some of them already bitten off (and healed up), while he has price tags on his remaining fingers? That's something else.

No, the issues of “predation” are not the biggest thing In the manga. Just read the manga it’s based off of.

Really? It seems to me that the predation stuff is the main point of the story. There's all the general relationship/romantic stuff, but the dynamics of the characters are all pretty much dependent on predation and each character's experiences of it, because of the effect it has on their outlook and opinions of each other. Plus there are a load of weird interactions that look an awful lot like vorish flirting.

I used to hate anime in just about all forms but nowadays I'm trying to be more open. I've been looking at things like Trigun and CowboyBebop, so maybe I should extend my gaze to this too.

Besides I can't really think of many japanese series that have anthros as a focus. They are commonly present but never in the spotlight.

K.O. Beast Warriors was interesting, but these days I want my shows having an actual ending. So many shows have been cut when it got interesting, especially older ones.
