Quick Update: Not that many care....
So last week I found out that my company is giving me the Paramedic Award of Excellence. Not quite sure how to feel about it, but it also coincides with my leaving the company. So...... it's gonna be made into a "retirement"/award event.
Two weeks to go before moving, so I'm starting to stress out a bit more. There really isn't much one can do in preparation for a move, but I think all my bases are covered for now.
I'm kinda looking forward to taking Amtrak's Lake Shore Limited, Texas Eagle, and Heartland Flyer. I will say the prospect of not having WiFi or phone service for the majority of the trip is rather annoying. Gives me a chance to take in the scenery.
Guess the really sad part for me is that Thanksgiving will be the last time I see my family for a long time. I'm sure I'll be crying. My very close friend Tim and a few of my EMS buddies will be seeing me off at the station, so I won't be alone. It's just nerve racking that after all these years I'm saying goodbye to NY.
All of the experiences, both good and bad, will stay with me forever. Yet, now is the chance to make new memories, experiences and friends. Being with my soulmate will make me the happiest Fox on earth! Excited, nervous, scared... are ALL emotions that hit me at once. But ya know what? I'm happy!
Take care everyone!
