FURMEET EXTRAORDINAIRE!!!

Today, I got to attend one of the most incredible furmeets in a long while.
With other local NE Georgia furs, got to go ice skating (something I haven't done in somewhere between 30 and 40 years!) I actually skated in my fursuit (well in my head and tails at least). I managed to stay on my feet for the most part, fell down only once (which is amazing!) I got to make some people smile (the one young lady who was handing out skates (because she recognized my 4th Doctor's scarf - evidently she was another Whovian), and some kids who loved furries! Got several hugs from one of them. I had an absolutely blast!
Then we all went to a ramen restaurant and chilled out for awhile. I've never had ramen like that before. Even though I just had the basic ramen dish, it was delicious and very filling!
I'm so glad I decided to go instead of just staying home and playing video games.

i wish there were more things going on here.
i did get advanced notice about the anime con but had to skip it.
but its not like portland oregon in the 80s
when porsfis had meetings every two weeks
and put on two conventions a year,
and neighboring seatle had another two.
and there was a frends of the docor meeting every month or so too,
and parties for the whole memberships of both for many of the odder holidays,
and turkey movie crawls. there was also a large overlap with the barony of three mountains in the s.c.a.
and this was all before either anime or furry had their own conventions too.
