Hey all, thought it was time I gave a little update. The fall’s been a bit of a nightmare of sorts… The botox has quit working so I spent the majority of the fall in a practical coma from intense migraines, with really bad vertigo on top of that. I had to cancel plans with friends, trips to the movie theater for special showings, physical therapy, our annual beach trip, riding in the truck to the park; they wouldn’t let me do anything even on the days I wasn’t completely miserable. I’ve lost over 15 pounds thanks to it. It also put a massive dent in my creativity. I got about a week’s worth of Inktober done but, barely. Outside that and a commission I was blessed with productive was far from what I could be.
Recently I’ve slowly started to get some of my creativity back and I’ve gotten to the movies for Terminator Dark Fate, Doctor Sleep, The Good Liar and Knives Out but, it’s all still a pretty big struggle, assisted by pain medicine. That being said, my mom’s done a lot for me and done her best to help me stay positive and keep me hydrated.
This week I’m going to Duke though and there I’ll be talking with my doc about new options. Hopefully we’ll find something that’ll work as well as Botox once did. There’s a lot I miss right now.
Sorry this hasn’t been the most optimistic update but, it’s genuinely been a rough fall.
