FA is a good portfolio site - and without it I never stumbled across your huevember collection. It's hard nowadays to have a working and growing filter bubble and often users are too afraid or don't know what to write, so they only fav or bookmark instead of leaving a comment.

i totally agree with you - that's why i want to keep maintaining my deviantart which i've been using for over 10 years now. deviantart isn't the best of platforms either, but i think it's more accesable and not for furries only. that's why i don't see enough reason to maintain two platforms which are so similar to each other.

I agree with him. I really enjoyed your Huevember collection. Made me reminisce about the games and it gave a sense of adventure with bright beautiful colors. And as someone who tends to be too socially anxious to respond or give feedback, I know that a lot of others here are the same. But in the end, it’s your decision to stay or go. But I’ll certainly keep an eye out for your art. :3

totally get you with not wanting to comment , it's not like i DEMAnd it or smth haha, it's just extra work to maintain yet another website, which i'm not sure i want to take in the future. as i said in my reply over you, i will still keep my deviantart, where you have a nice overview of the works i did, with folders and stuff, as twitter especially sucks a lot if you are searching for something specific or want to filter stuff.

It’s always a pleasure to see you upload new stuff! But at the end of the day furaffinity is one of two things for most people:
-A platform to promote your artistic skills and make a business from other users who enjoy your art.
-A hub where you can connect to other artists and follow art/theme’s you’re personally interested in!

If it’s not doing either of those for you then I suppose there’s not much point putting in the effort if your not enjoying it.

absolutely right. the thing is, i don't really ever get commissions or do business here. it just..never worked out, so that's nothing that would keep me here.
second point right, also much easier to follow what people do than chaotic twitter layout, but most people i follow over here, i also follow over multiple platforms and i mostly see things twice or even more often, so i wouldn't loose much here either.

I use tumblr as well, but its hard for me to get into much social media, I'm not very good at keeping up with it. If you have tumblr I could follow you there, though, certainly better than not seeing your art at all!

I think the reason I prefer to stick to a site like this with art, is when I want to see artwork its all in one place instead of mixed in with all kinds of other posts. And I am more likely to see every piece of art someone makes, because on other social media I am not likely to scroll all the way through a dash/news feed and look at every single thing everyone I follow posts every day. Its more effort to click on artists' profiles individually to make sure I didn't miss a nice drawing. If someone doesn't post often I may forget to check at all unless I happen to see their art on my dadh/news feed at the right time! While here all I have to do is look through my notifications and everything is in one place with no filler.

Not saying that to change your mind, just putting a little perspective into why I like to use a site like this for following other artists more than others meant for all kinds of media. I understand you use deviantart and its a similar layout to FA, I just personally haven't used it in forever. (Though obviously don't make a decision based on my individual preferences I'm just being honest about everything haha)

hmm yes i mean i feel you, it's the same for me, it's just i don't follow a lot of artists on twitter and i blocked almost everyones retweets so i mostly just see what they do, except they use the same account for rambling as well - which annoys me personally and hinders me to follow the person despite liking their art, so in this case i really know what you mean...
i really appreciate you liking my stuff so much, it means so much to me! idk, maybe you won't forget me and stumble upon my deviantart one or the other time, i will definitely make more folders to filter my artwork more easily ! b: i'm so sorry for the inconvenience but as i said i don't think it's worth it if you look at the ...bigger picture hahaha (this sounds dramatic)

ok servipervert just told me about postybirb - a really cool programm which allows me to upload a piece on multiple platforms at once, hella cool! with this i actually might still upload stuff on fA , i still won't be too active here anymore but i can still post ! :D

It most definitely is, but the dynamics here are different.
There are nowhere as many people here as for instance on dA, but that also makes it easier to gain attention.
That being said, it's still by far the biggest place for furries that's also made by furries.
It's much easier to get quick attention over on twitter, which is why it's so appealing to many. But I've always hated it when artists turn that into their gallery because it doesn't have a UI friendly thumbnail system that online gallery websites provide....and truth to be told, I don't trust it. They shadowban, they decide what you want to see, they're nonfurry and to me it feels like it's only just a matter of time until they pull a tumblr and then people will freak out and move somewhere else again....probably looking at FA there, because it's kinda known as the place that everyone goes back to.
The key to gain followers here is by being very persistent, definitely upload your stuff!

the thing is, i don't really mean to get popular anyways. and even for that, i gained so much more followers over twitter in a year, than on fA or dA also, in YEARS (literal decade). you are absolutely right when it comes to twitters dumbass policies, but i don't do nsfw or write anything personal anyways, i just use it for sharing art and looking at other art. if twitter one day decides to go even more bonkers and everyone leaves - then i will have to change platform anyways , but then i still will have only 3 platforms to manage, not 4. if that time should come, i could easily reactivate this account again, as i won't delete it or something.
and yeah i know that, i've been uploading art since 2009 , fa just isn't my cup of tea i guess. as i wouldn't consider myself a furry that much either, nothing really keeps me here - except if the mayority of my followers would say something against it.
for an art gallery twitter totally sucks, that's why i will still continue uploading stuff on my deviantart. on telegram it's also easier to filter stuff, even in months.

Hey, at the end of the day you should do what you feel like you have to do! If you don't like FA then that's a perfectly good reason to neglect or leave it :3

I can understand not wanting to upload here. Even as a commissioner who checks this site daily, I don’t enjoy the art uploading process at all. I would prefer to follow you here, but if you mirror all the uploads to deviantart, I suppose I can manage that as well.
