Browsing through Fursuits for some inspiration, and FA won't go past 999 pages...

Try clicking next, and I get a 404 error...

Is this from some limit in the program?

If you use the input "Page #" of the searcher you can put 1000 and it works.

What's annoying is you can't use that trick to skip through Favorite Galleries ever since they decided to replace the page number for those with seemingly random numbers instead.

Yeah, I think that is the fave ID number because is decreasing for each page, and this method is more efficient that use the page number (because this last you need search all your faves for calculate the images that fit your page, insteand the first one that only need to find the next images of that ID for fit the page).

It was all in a time line, so you had mass blocks of Con pics from multiple people getting pretty much the same group of suits. That was broken up by personal uploads and showcases for the suits, so on any one page you could have 70% of the pics being similar/different shots or angles XD

Oh gods... you mean to say that FA also has a search limit?
I knew devArt had a search limit of 1500 hits before it returned something like "No further deviations can be displayed" or something like that, but that was awhile back, maybe 2012 or so?

Didn't think FurAffin had something similar...

48,000 hits limit, if my not-really-bothering-to-check-it-twice calculation is right. That's a lot for a specific search, but also kinda low since there's millions of pieces up here.

When I called up to my father to come out and help in the kitchen, He replied "I just read this to the end.", and when I asked back "What are you reading?" He replied with "Facebook."...I gave up on waiting for His help, but had a big laugh.

My father wanted to read Facebook to it's end...Aaaaaaalrightythen!

Yep, FA has a hard limit on searches and browse, the only way to find all submissions would be to crawl from 1 to the current highest submission id. It's especially bad for searches, because unless something is very old or very recent it's just lost in the middle.

FA is that site that's still stuck in the mid 2000s of web programming.
I mean it does work, but you can't say "if it's not broke, don't fix it" for 14 years xD

Definitely a built-in 'limit' on the backend for the site. I've always gotten the feeling they don't really have an experienced DBA helping them out, given some of the strange limitations that can only be explained by really bad design decisions. I suspect if they fixed that, a lot of the limitations would disappear pretty fast.

man.... if thats how hard the limits are here, i've been borking the system pretty hard with my notification count. before their auto wipe was implemented, i was worried about the 78k subbs im sitting on (at the time of writing) would slowing things down. it only lets you "nuke" a set amount of things at once with like a 5-10min cooldown....not really worth the name if it doesn't wipe them all.
