Well, it’s been several days since the Christmas Eve calamity. For those who don’t know, our freezer of 30-40 years died a day or two before Christmas Eve. I managed to cook up two turkeys, one belonging the the lady next door, who was so happy that her turkey looked picture perfect! It really looked the nicest ever. She has a few of her “girl friends” over who didn’t have to have Christmas by themselves then. Lots of crying and well wishes. They wanted to chip in for the new freezer, but all of them are Seniors on a fixed income, so I said no.

Anyway, we have about $175.66 towards it now. A friend in England gave me his pocket change. It was gratefully accepted. To be honest, a “nice” one (MOR) is about $600 plus installation. Not fancy, just a freezer. Neither of us got anything for 𝐂hristmas this year because this comes first. We get food from the local food pantry. If you have a freezer, you can ask for a little bit more if They have any extra, but not always. They are very generous at times.
