I think if they're going to make a change like this the least they could do is update some of the prehistoric functionality of this HTML2 era website

interesting to see a ui change after FA has been the same for so long... i'm glad there's an option to revert to the old one, but i'll test drive this one for a bit

Yeah I don't wanna just jump ship right off the bat- I'm not opposed to change at all. I just wish they'd consulted more artists and reading-impaired folks with this design. It's so cluttered and the spacing being so minimal is driving me nuts- there's also some design hierarchy issues that are pulling the emphasis away from the artists' galleries and putting it more on general art browsing. Which I suppose is good for the casual user, but it's pretty lousy for artists.

it does seem like in an effort to make it more mobile-friendly they just sort of squished everything together and made the text bigger lol

Yeahhhh maybe that's it? Still, I feel like it'd be better to make folks scroll side to side a little bit and get just a liiiiittle more space in those margins!

I don't wanna sound too negative, I just hope they continue to make improvements~ It's already a good sign that they updated at all! ^^

I felt the same exact same when I opened up the page, I wouldn't mind as much if their HTML overload loaded nicely and quick but I get slapped in the face with the index for like 2 seconds before it settles and I think that's the worst part.

I also have sever ADHD and the jumbling around at the start of every time the site loads is making me just HhHhHHHHHHHHHH something to get used to I suppose!

I'm glad I'm not alone ; ; But also sad. Hopefully they continue to make it more ADHD friendly~ <3

Yeah we can hope, I personally can't be *fucked* to look where to revert it in this mess, but tbh I'll just minimize website use hahah god, its so cluttered

If you hit Edit Profile on your userpage, there's an option to the right for Account Settings. You can change the UI in that editor!

I have ADHD (along with various other brain things) too and yeeeaaah, not only is such a sudden and giant change super jarring, looking at it is literally giving me a headache. Also, my first thought was along the same lines as your lovely lady's comment: Why not fix the actual functionality??

Honestly, I'm not surprised, but still disappointed. Hopefully they fix it up...but I'm not holding my breath on that.

I'm keeping my fingers crossed and staying hopeful they will!! Make sure to put in a suggestion ticket with them. They won'f fix it if we don't speak up!

It has potential, it just looks like a first or second draft rather than a final. Which is okay, I just hope they roll out improvements fast!
