- Marvel rising : playing with fire https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Marvel_Rising
This one was a bit of a let-down after the rest of the franchise. Taking a chance to develop the two less utilized characters (with the title, you can guess Inferno is one of them) is a good thing but it's all too cliché, predictable... still fun, but nothing fancy or surprising. Only the villains are really amusing. The use of the songs is still quite good. 3 barks out of 5
- The movies that made us https://www.imdb.com/title/tt10681222/
A spin-off of the toys that made us, this documentary shows explores the story behind the making of Dirty Dancing, Die Hard, the Ghostbusters and Home Alone. I knew the quality of that show would be good because it's the same stuff as the toys that made us but I wasn't expecting such stories behind those movies. The format drags a bit on some of those episodes, but not much. I highly recommend it, especially if you liked those movies. I couldn't have guessed how revolutionnary some were at the time. 4,25 barks out of 5
- The Dragon prince season 3 https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Dragon_Prince
Continuing the storyline of seasons 1 & 2, we follow our characters through their quest and the final confrontation with the bad guys. It is predictable from start to finish, since it do not introduce any real twist from the previous seasons but just carry them to an epic conclusion. It is quite good, lots of good visuals, great moments and nice characters. I look forward to season 4 which should take a turn from the previous seasons as the secret bad guy will take center stage. 4.5 barks out of 5
- Food wars season 4 https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_....._Soma_episodes
I both really enjoyed and was really disappointed by this season. The second part is because it is super short. It end the arc perfectly, but after waiting a while, just getting that... and it's not like the first part could have been made longer. I didn't really enjoyed the whole Central part for the background it gave, but the battles were at the top of what I like with that show, which make the short season hit me even more. Anyway, it's moving to the end of the show with season 5 and I'm eager for it. 4 barks out of 5 I watched the first episode of this show because I was bored, I wouldn't have guessed I would like an anime cooking show.
- The last kids on earth (part 1) https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_L.....Kids_on_Earth_(TV_series)
I wasn't especting much of that show when I picked it up but it was a nice, refreshing, amusing series. There is nothing new here, it was predictable from the start, it works on cartoon logic (the way those kids goes, you can't see it working otherwise) but hey, it's just fun. 3,25 barks out of 5
- Aggrestuko (season 2) https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Aggretsuko
Continuing their quality storyline which is really relatable to and really interesting. Ok, they push it a bit with what the donkey do, but otherwise, it is fun and nice and really original. I never know what to expect and those cute characters' lives are so interesting. 4 barks out of 5
- Jumanji 3 : https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Juman.....The_Next_Level
Following the sequel Jumanji 2's principles, this third installment keep the fun of the video game going but slower it with an old people trying to reunite storyline. It's not too badly done, but it sures slow the movie down and doesn't make for as many cool jokes as I think they were trying to pull. There is some switch around that keep it fresh, but it feels really like the third sequel. 3.5 barks out of 5
- Docteur ? http://www.allocine.fr/film/fichefi.....lm=271088.html
A french movie I haven't found any reference in english, a french comedy about a drinking cynical doctor that a problem on Christmas night left unable to walk (the irony with my father's situation) and who hired a Uber Eat guy to pretend to be him until the night is over as they go through all the little illnesses of being a on-call doctor during Christmas night, using the guy's ear piece to communicate. There is a lot of hijinks, saving a family for a monoxyde poisonings and all that. It was fun overall, not a great movie, but a fun one and I was afraid from the premises it would run out of steam but it was short enough it didn't and I had a nice time. I was the youngest in the 50 people's screening room nearly full with a little girl here with her parents, which didn't surprised me with what was on screen at the time in the rest of the cinema. 3 barks out of 5
- Unikitty season 2 https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Unikitty!
Silly, all over the place, confusing, funny, totally without any care for storyline, living on cartoon logics, the episodes are really different from each other, ranging from little kids to more adult stuff. The quality is all up and down exactly the same so it's hard to categorize over all. 3 barks out of 5
- Klaus https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Klaus_(film)
I enjoyed this refreshing (if a bit far fetched) take on the classic santa claus story. It is nice and cool and I can't really tell more without revealing the plot. The idea they are going with is indeed predictable and as I said, far fetched, but the overall story works and it's always a nice thing for the celebrations. 3.5 barks out of 5
- Fairy tail season 9 https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fairy_Tail_(season_9)
So after waiting a long time, we have the final season of the anime (the manga keep going with a spin-off, 100 years quest, which i do not know if they are going to make an anime of or not). I was, honestly, a lot underwhelmed by this season. The formula has become too repetitive, the dragonball Z power levels creeping out everywhere without giving really good battles, or shortening them to nice but one way combat. The fact there is no consequences to anything also ruins the ending, with everyone getting an happy end. 2.5 barks out of 5
