There is no gift more precious or rare in this world than true love. Treasure those who share it with you.
It's hard to remain positive. It really is.
Believe me, I know.
Just a few minutes ago I made a posting to a social media site I use. I had logged on for about five minutes and all I saw was the same complaining, hate, snarky "irreverent" attempts at humour and milk-carton-philosophy memetics as generally clutter the site. I implored the public in general for someone to say something positive, anything. "You love someone? Happy to be alive? Anything?"
Within a few minutes, I received several snarky "just joking" memes making fun of the plea.
However- I also received this:
"I love you and I love Krissie and I'm very thankful you two have come into my life, it has improved because of it.
I wish it was more convenient to hang out more, but otherwise my affection and love for you is strong and real. You're a beautiful person and you bring a special something into any life you touch."
This was not said by a close loved one or a family member. This was stated by someone I'd met only one time at a Satanic rally, one of the fellows in security whom I talked with that evening and have shared a bit back and forth with since then on that social media site.
There have been another dozen or so things posted since by people. Everything from loving their moms, their companion animals, tacos, enjoying still being alive despite recent hardships... and more keep coming.
NEVER underestimate the value of kindness, even in the smallest doses. This world is only what we put into it. If you think 'it sucks' do something to change it.

*shrugs* Maybe it's just me, I dunno...
I love my family, to the ends of the earth, through hell and back, I love and adore them. They are my life and my world. I may not be able to entirely make everything better and change it despite trying, but it doesn't mean I am going to quite trying. I still enjoy my life even if it is hard right now, I won't let everything drag me down to a point I can't get back up. So just remember you're also one of those people in my life that helps me keep going, your bright smile, your posts and artwork, they also make me smile. Never forget to me and to so many others you are truly special, you do make our lives better, and we love you. <3
