Not really bc furry is more of a hobby, not much of a big deal imo

I like to think this is what happens a majority of the time.

A roomie of mine somehow found out I went to MFF while I was there--guess he put two-and-two together, I dunno. But when I came back I got in front of everything and fessed up to both roomies that, yeah, I'm a fur. And that was it! There weren't really any further questions and I haven't been viewed or treated any differently since then. The fear of admitting something like that was exponentially worse in my mind than in practice, and honestly I'm kinda glad of it now? Like I still hide my furry-ness for the most part but I can safely start to let it show more, in increments.

Like everyone else is saying, furry's more hobby than orientation. It's something that should supplement your life and not be the main focus. If some people have a problem with it then you can take heart that it's just one small facet of you they dislike.

No, it's just a hobby. It's like saying "i skate".
I told my mom about it recently because she always wondered why I only drew furry animals, I even showed her the NSFW because she has walked on me working on commisisons before. My mom is super non-judgmental so she literally just said "oh okay thats pretty cool" and asked if she could have a fursona too LOL
As for nsfw part, no reactions or comments. Sex sells, and a lot of people express themselves through it. Completly okay!

Friends have also never really said anything about it, they know about memes and nsfw but emjoy my art and dont really care. Some even ask to doodle them a fursona and then they started showing eachother's fursonas. It was hilarious.

If you don't make it a big deal, generally no one will perceive it as such. Judgemental people are out of question tho. But they'll literally judge anything, not just this particular thing.
