:V I've always found exterior backgrounds much easier because nothing has to have sharp 90 degree edges following perspective, much easier to let natural landscapes flow in whatever way looks nicer.

until that is you have to find a way to shade, highlight, color and texture something as complicated as a large body of water. I mean I have to succeed at it even though I don't know really how to make it look right because thats the standard I've set. It cant look disproportionately worse than everything else.
