3D Revolution
Hey everyone! Hope you're having a good day.
I just wanted to make a quick update post on the direction I'm taking with my art. Lately, I've been dabbling with 3D software like Blender and ZBrushCore more than usual. I always enjoyed making sculptures and rigging them, but I wanted to keep my account focused on digital painting. After all, my old Deviantart account would constantly shift its focus.
But on the other hand, I started to enjoy 3D modeling a lot more than digital painting. As much as I liked painting before, I began to lose interest in the process. Also, while I'm not bad at painting, I'm a lot more confident in my 3D art. It definitely helps that I'm practically obsessed with the 3D workflow! Sometimes, I even obsess over the more tedious parts, like topology and rigging.
Best of all, I recently found a great way to work on ZBrush sculpts! I've began to sculpt over 2D artwork, and try to recreate the character as accurately as possible. Basically, I'm taking 2D character designs, and bringing them to life. Very exciting stuff! I also plan on dabbling with hand-painted textures later on, in case I find myself wanting to paint again.
Well, that's all I have for my art rant today. I like to ramble about my art process, so if anyone wants to see more journals like this, feel free to let me know in the comments!
