FNR Comic Co.
Greets folks, you've heard me speak about this on and off and I'm here to speak about it some more.
Right around the time, I moved to LINE/WebToons I started the FNR Comic Co. The goal is for everyone in the fandom(Fur/Neko/Otherkin) to have a place to put their webcomic where it can be seen. LINE/WebToons has going for it their website and a mobile app for Android/IOS. Both of these are used by visitors from around the world and only makes that much more sense to put your comic on there, instead of say, here or Patreon or another webcomic host. I had the first episode of LUA up and had 20 views even before I started advertising that I'd moved my comic. This is the real deal I think(Those that know me know I wouldn't put 110% into something if I didn't feel it was).
That said, I know some artists have their comics on LINE/WebToons already and that's cool. This call-out is for those who either aren't on there already or are willing to consolidate their comic into the FNRCC. That's not to say FNRCC owns your comic, you own your comic: it's yours. FNRCC is just a vessel. With that said, I know one of the things the crosses folks' minds when they read this is what I get out of it. I don't make any money off this, so what then, right? Well - Recognition and a solid place for fandom comics to grow are my top two. I don't want to see sites like Gene Catlow go out because of financial constraints(yes Al passed away but those running the site did just let it go). Thinking about it now, I guess if you were going to put a financial mark on it, it'd be this: IF your comic becomes featured, you'd get a monthly stipend. I would probably take a small percentage of that but that's about it. LINE/WebToons decides who's comic gets featured and who's doesn't. I don't have a say and neither do the artists. The monthly stipend for a featured comic is $2,000usd. I'd take 5% of that, but that part of LINE/WebToons is a potential bonus that's there if it's there, but not if it's not, and detracts from the main goal which is to provide a publishing house for comics.
If I've scared anyone off, oops. If I have your attention, note me and we'll talk.
