Okay, so...

There is no gift more precious or rare in this world than true love. Treasure those who share it with you.
...I know it's called "CoViD-19".
I know many, most of you good watcher people would probably know that as well.
I know, as do most of you fine people, that "CoViD-19" is the name used to represent this illness because it stands for "Corona Viral Disease -19", as this is a viral outbreak of a type of Coronavirus first recognized in 2019. It's a simple acronym used to represent a potentially very serious illness which is affecting many people and I feel we must all remain aware of the reality of this situation and stand vigilant against the dangerous ignorance which, if allowed to fester, will only make matters incalculably worse.
However...
I can't help but feel that if some furry artist hasn't already made some manner of exchange between some angry furry towards a raven or crow, blaming them for the spread of "Corvid-19" and then being called out for being a dumb racist asshat, that we've missed an opportunity for comedic gold during a trying time.
Just a thought.
Take care of each other. Big Love and Ave Lucifer.

I know the other night at the lab I overheard a colleague saying something about the rapid spread of the disease, number of reported cases, simple stuff. The other replied with this bizarre racial tangent about asian Americans and eating Chinese food... Like I said, bizarre. "Bizzare"? I can never keep those straight...
It is fascinating to me, just how quickly this has blown up- at least according to the CDC website.
I was reading that 16% of the people who are infected needs to be hospitalized and that is takes about 3-5 weeks to recover. So it doesn't take very long to completely plug up every hospital in the country just like what is happening in Italy with their exploding deaths.

Not PRECISELY as described, but yeah, someone else's mind went there too.
Thank you, love.

How have you been, sweetie?
I wonder if little corona-chan is an SCP? Sounds like a Wondertainment™ creation...

Maybe I should do a search and see if anyone else has personified this virus?

You know, earlier today I had to hit the grocery shopping and it blew my mind. I thought it was a goof, exaggeration, but no, people really have lost their Damn minds about this. There was no toilet paper at any store I hit and no laundry detergent either...
Are these people eating this stuff or something? *brow knits in total brain-popping confusion* Do they seriously plan to mummy-wrap themselves in tp to protect themselves from other people's sneezes...? I understand that this is a reasonably scary situation but... Really?
I have to be honest, I'm nervous, myself, but I'm not letting that alter my behavior in any way. This, too, shall pass. I'm a healthy enough adult that if I were to catch it, I would likely be fine, and if things started to turn for the worse, there are things to take care of that.
I think what's funny is that you have people panic-buying toilet paper because of the coronavirus, and people panic-buying toilet paper because of the other people panic-buying toilet paper.
Thankfully, we have enough to last us for awhile longer, probably long enough for this whole thing to blow over.
As for the official response to the virus, with places shutting down and preventing gatherings over a certain size, this is one scenario where an overreaction is definitely better than an underreaction. People like me might be fine if we caught it, but what about people on chemotherapy? With AIDS? Young children? Elderly adults? If this prevents even one casualty, I find it a worthwhile "overreaction".
It reminds the horror afficianado in me of that exchange in Romero's original "Night of The Living Dead" between Harold and Ben.
"We luck into a safe place and you tell us we gotta risk our lives just because some people need help?"
"Yeah. Something like that."
I'm of the mind to go to Wal-Mart and buy all the toilet paper just to stand out front and GIVE it away to people, free and rationed out, so that everyone who needs it gets it, none of this hoarding to sell on eBay and profit of misery and fear- it's repugnant and sad.
