Same here! I am just tired of hearing this virus is shutting some places down for months after they hear about the virus lasting til August. Hearing this makes me more and more impatient about 2021, so how can a fucking virus steal/ruin everyone's year?

I'm not saying that it should not be taken seriously. What I am tired of is that people that are over reacting. Who that fuck needs a hundred rolls of fucking TP!?! If you have a package surgical masks take them to your local medical care center or hospital. If you are not actually feeling sick dont be bothering medical personal with comments or questions and let them take care of people that are actually sick.

The problem is also more or less that the usa has no meaningful healthcare system and social state foundation. We will see how this crisis will unfold further. in the end it is not meanigful that when we here have tests for free and the usa had tests costing about $200-500 with the expected number of unknown cases spreading shadowy.

Testing here is free. Trump made testing an act of state of emergency and declared all testing is to be free.

If you look at my post and see the numbers, it is not too bad, you also have to remember that even though corona is not as bad, it will still make an impact because the seasonal flu has a vaccine program and vaccinates millions of the most vulnerable people every year, it may be next year before those same people can get vaccinated against the corona.

No one doubts that when a vaccine would exist it would be a rescue- especially for the risk group...sadly the vaccine does not exist YET. That is one if not the central main problem of the whole crisis the world faces right now. You can't neither compare a possible antibiotic resistent burbonic plague with the regular burbonic plague with working antibiotic treatment and say: Well when the damn thing would also be weak to antibiotics...or we would discover a new antibiotics over night: it wouldn't be too... bad just another regular bacterial infection!
Or how the ability of hospital industry in 1st world nations work with 3rd world in which not even drinkable water is granted, neither. So yes - maybe next year when vaccination is tested and given out it will reduce the risk immensely and the crisis is over for good.

Same, it's called cost / benefit analysis, it sucks that some people may die, but global depression will cause many more deaths albeit over a longer period of time, but this is the road we've chosen, too late now.

It's not some people may die a good number of people will die each and every year. What maybe a million people world wide die each year from things that could be prevented and things that could not have been prevented. Life ends for everything that is born at some point.

Remember that MOST people who get the corona virus have such mild symptoms that they don't think they have caught it and thus never get tested. So the death rate percentage is grossly inaccurate. =^.^= keep kickin' that ASS!

I've been watching these numbers from the beginning and can't help but think something is wrong here as well, but then get called a heartless bastard for asking that question. I keep hearing about "flattening the curve" and it being a "terrible way to die", any way is terrible if you're the one dying. You can get bitten by a tick or mosquito and possibly die, but that doesn't keep everyone sequestered indoors all summer, you realize there is a risk, take precautions to mitigate it, and generally go on with life. The world has largely ceased to make sense, everyone is in a 24/7 blind panic.
