Let's gather round, folks.. I got a story to tell ya'll.
Alright normally I don’t make these kinds of posts but I think I need to make a reminder to everyone
Gloating about art other people do for you, when you do not actually do anything yourself, is a scummy move.
I’ve dealt with many toxic people who do this. One of which who is making EXTREME advances outside the community, who I KNOW will do ANYTHING to get their hands on free art, or try to suckle up and manipulate other people to get art from them just to be “trendy” and with the times.
Again. Normally I never make posts like these but my anger and rage continues to boil over.
I am not implying you witchhunt these types of people. But I am saying, be careful of these types. They are probably some of the scummiest in the community.
Worst people I’ve had the misfortune of encountering.
It’s okay to support people. But if you’re doing it to the point where you’re manipulating them for free crap without actually doing anything on your own...
you are clearly not learning.

He also wanted me to remodel his OC ref sheet. I did that too because I wanted to be nice, not really realizing I was editing someone else’s work for him (which I now regret). I showed it to him and he gave me a whole bunch of crap about the file I used, treating me like an idiot. So I had to download an app just for this one occasion to send it the way he wanted.
Then I got to work on his drawing, which was kinda specific and out of my league . I had a lot of difficulty figuring it out (because almost all of my drawings were just a character standing straight with arms at the side), and I didn’t want to do it anymore. But I didn’t want to be mean and cancel, so I kept on at it for him.
When I finished, he totally hated it because I traced the tuft wrong. He then began going on about how much of an idiot I was for not being able to trace. Even though I literally traced the digital version that I showed him from a traditional draft I did first (He knew that too because I showed him images of it). So I did the tuft again and he still hated it because it was too small. I went back to doing it, getting pretty angry now. I finished up the tuft only to find out he did it for me behind my back without asking.
I got really angry and told him draw one of my OC’s Spruce with one image for reference so he could understand how I felt. He then gave me a whole lecture about how I have the IQ of a pebble and I have absolutely no morals because Spruce has hooves for hands (because he’s a deer) and then blocked me.
To summarize: I did free art and a remodel for someone I don’t know, and they thanked me with a lecture about my character’s hands and blocked me.
A few extra things about him he told me before he blocked me. He has autism (I do too) and his parents don’t know what it is entirely. So he convinces them to get all sorts of things for him and they just assume it’s because he’s autistic and needs them for it.
