First Anniversary
Nature abhors a void.
Coming up on the year anniversary of my first story, I feel inclined to make this journal. Turnabout is Fair Play was my very first story, a TF/TG romp with an alolan vulpix and her ninetales pursuer. It was my first attempt at a story, and it was also the first time I had proof that there were people out there that would actually enjoy my writing. Every watch, favorite, or vote has made me happy in ways I can't even begin to describe.
There were plenty of times when I asked myself if I wanted to keep writing, hell, I even tried doing art, as can be seen by my three loathsome works from last summer. It may be something I try again in the future, but for now the crown jewel of my art gallery is absolutely my picture of Nelly by Dark Violet.
As far as accomplishments go, I am happy to say I have a few:
- 234 Watchers on SoFurry.
- 77 Watchers on Furaffinity.
- 'Just Trust Me' won first place in the Someone's PC Autumn Behind the Dex Writing Contest.
- 'Just Trust Me' and 'Protect and Service: Caesar' are both featured stories on SoFurry.
- I was provided a guest spotlight for Someone's PC in the form of 'Dog and Tauros Show'.
-I was invited to write characters for the adult game Furry Beach Club and Galactic Monster Quest, and I'm happy to say that I will have four characters coming up in the former, and one in the latter over the next year, with more planned and on the way.
After a year of writing, I am astounded by the amount of support I've received. I've met some amazing people that motivate me every day. I write this journal because I want to revisit and continue some of my older stories. In addition to the next chapter of Protect and Service, I have a few sequels to some of my more popular stories being worked on.
I would love the opportunity to continue growing, and that is why I will be looking in to the possibility of commissioning artwork for a few of my stories as well. That is something that I've wanted to do for a while, and have been putting off due to the (and I'm sure you're sick of hearing it, no pun intended) stress related to the current state of the world.
When it comes to Furaffinity, I will admit there's a lack of effort on my part. The formatting system is a little more difficult to handle for stories, and I haven't had as much luck gathering watchers as I would have liked. Due to this, not all of my stories are currently on Furaffinity, and I will work to change that.
If there's a series you would like to see continued, please leave a message below. If I know there are people eagerly awaiting continuations, that makes me so much more eager and excited to work on projects. Thank you all for taking the time to read this journal, and I hope you will join me over the next year.
