Doing Discord!
5 years ago
Wassup guys, it's fuzzbutt Daniel again!!
Heeeyyyyyy so, I have not had Discord, like.. ever. Well, sorta, I have a personal one which I barely use, and I only had that one because nobody uses Skype anymore.
And honestly I've just set this new one up and have no idea what to do with it.
...
....so like, what do people actually use Discord for in the context of an artist and also, like... how? I know there's a thing called a server that people have said is... a... thing? What do they do exactly?
Assume I'm, like, a dumb puppy who don't know nothin' and keeps staring at you as though you're holding a cookie above me and I don't know why I can't have a cookie too ^w^;
Any help would be appreciated -- thank you!

Not sure yet how to meet new people there, I have only found how to set up a server and invite people whose usernames & numbers I already know ^^;
In future, I will be using Discord for commissions -- in fact I've just gotten in contact with one person who I'm doing commissions for just now ^^
A lot of artists have a patreon discord server as a reward to interact with people and can be a good way to get to know your community. And some artists have both a patreon and general discord server.
If you do decided to go the server route you'll have to label where you post your art as NSFW channels, otherwise it could get you in some hot water with Discord's TOS, but otherwise it's pretty straight forward.
Not sure if that helps, but I hope it does. :)
