Little Check-in! How y'all doin'?
Past week has thrown my entire sleep schedule into the garbage disposal, to the point where the past couple days I've had to just....sit down, listen to my body's basic needs.
There's discipline and then there's forced productivity, which just churns out sub-par work. And I never want to deliver that. Again, I'm reminded what awesome, chill folks I get to work with all the time.
So yeah -- how are you all holding up? Any shows or films you've been watching lately that have made the pandemic hurt a little less? I've recently done the Tiger King watch, of course. I think The Death of Stalin is at the top of my Netflix list atm...

I'm glad to hear that you've had some time to just take things easy and assess.
As for me, well, I've just been trying to keep myself sane. The lockdowns are not doing my depression any favors ^^; While I like to get out when I can, the weather has been pretty awful lately.
The other evening, I took a look outside and it was snowing, and it was also Golden Hour sunset so the entire overcast world looked like it was under a Sepia filter. It was surreal!
Yeah, this quarantine stuff really throws your sleep around. I've been set free until the end of the month and am certainly not sleeping when I should...
At least have found time to watch all the three Disney Cars movies I always wanted to see once, lol.
Hope you manage to calm down too! Stay safe~
I always liked the Cars movies, I thought they were fun and well animated (i mean duh, it's Pixar)!
Ty and I will! I hope you enjoy the rest of your time completely off, and that you possibly get to work from home afterwards! It sounds like you're taking good care of yourself~
On the telly saw a bit of Holmes and Watson, which is fcking hilarious and I recommend it. Also saw a series called Avenue 5, which started well and petered out but was still ok. (Further back, pre lockdown, saw something brilliant called Miracle Workers which I mega recommend, most titillatingly humourous!) On Netflix, I'm looking at some OTT nonsense about a murder prison gameshow, all splendid stuff. On youtube, Hermitcraft, also lore videos about all sorts. My usual.
Hope you are well :)
I feel you there -- not much has changed about my daily schedule, if anything I'm getting MORE social interaction because of my partner and housemates all working from home!
Good call, I'll have to check that out. I will ALWAYS watch a show themed around Sherlock Holmes -- good or bad, I feel compelled to watch all the Sherlock stuff I can! I'm a sucker for crime and mystery shows, and I've about bled Netflix dry of those for now lol
I've really enjoyed the Sherlock action/investigation computer games by Frogwares Studio as a semi-related note!
It's so weird to see the streets so empty, yeah...the grocery stores are not empty tho. Almost every store that's open has tape and markers on the floor to illustrate proper distancing folks should be from each other. Plastic shielding separating customer and cashier.
Weird, but also good to see everyone taking precautions. It's infuriating when you see folks that aren't following the rules.
I'm glad you're taking time for your own health. It's especially important when your area to wander and breathe free is limited by icky things outside your walls.
Yoooo! ESO is the BEST. I'm giving FFXIV a try right now on their free trial (my housemates play a lot and I wanted people to game with), but ESO will forever be my favorite MMO. I can't wAIT for Greymoor in June omg. Just a month and change!
For a few days I kinda worked through and ignored sleep and didn't eat regularly and now for the past week I've been playing catch up from that and delaying my comms so....lesson well learned (again). The meat suit needs sustenance and rest. x3
I'm also still struggling to write new stories. :(
All you can do is keep trying, and be gentle with yourself if you can't make a goal. Even a few words is better than none -- even a sketch is better than a blank canvas. I believe in you!
I looked that series up, it looks real interesting! I wish I had the attention span for books lately -- it makes me sad that I seem to have lost the knack for enjoying books.
I guess I never thought that would be a skill I had to work to keep. Q__Q
