Answers to the Collected Questions
Thank you to those who have submitted questions. I will not be going through them in the order received and will instead group them into categories of interest to answer more broadly. I will also rephrase them sometimes to facilitate how I'd prefer to answer them. I also might not answer some questions.
Art Tools Questions:
Q: How was the transition from mouse to phone?
A: It was pretty smooth, all things considered. There was awkwardness from learning the program itself (Medibang), figuring out the brushes and that sort of thing, but it wasn't tremendously difficult to adapt to the new input method. Since I wasn't technically outstanding to begin with and draw in a simple style anyway, there wasn't much to worry about aside from the placement of lines and that's a skill that lives in your head more than your hands. Smoothly connecting lines was something I struggled with for a while, which is why my earlier phone stuff is very loose. I miss being able to do multiply blending backgrounds conveniently though.
Q: Do you use a stylus?
A: My user title (at the time of writing) is Digital Fingerpainter for a reason.
Q: Do you think drawing on a phone is more comfortable and/or yields better results?
A: Drawing with a mouse was never exactly uncomfortable, but it was more restrictive. I like drawing in bed and that's easier with my phone because I can flop over if I want without needing to awkwardly reposition my whole setup. In terms of results, I think it's more about the software than the input device. There are things I think I could do in Paint.net but not Medibang, but smooth lines are significantly easier for me to do now that I'm no longer using a mouse. I don't plan on switching back or getting a tablet anytime soon.
Art and Artists Questions:
Q: Who or what inspired you to draw?
A: I shared a discord server with
paddedlemonade and found out that he used a mouse to make the cute things he'd post there. I figured if he could do it, I didn't have an excuse not to try to do the same.
Q: What inspired you to draw in the lmndrp style?
A: Miscellaneous pictures here and there. I just thought the style was distinctive and simple and that my shaky lines would naturally lend themselves toward the aesthetic. I was never really into Cate Wurtz as much as my mimicry might have made it seem.
Q: What inspired you to draw diapers?
A: I spent a while mainly drawing weird men before moving toward attempting cute things more regularly. Before starting this account, diapers were just something I'd draw occasionally in between stuff like the Amazing Bulk, Karnov, Palpatine, Joy Mutants, and original box art Megamen. I like drawing cute stuff more, and I find women in diapers to be cute.
Q: Who are your favorite artists?
A: In no particular order: cooltime-fooltime, lightmintmagic, sinningsneasel, calimarip, buckieabdl, red-moda, rfswitched, and probably some others that I'm forgetting.
Q: Which are your favorite pieces?
A:
5. Elaborate and Ornate Hat (Featuring Cuddly Imp) https://www.furaffinity.net/view/32365669/ and Pork and Beans https://www.furaffinity.net/view/36066342/ are tied
4. Do It Again https://www.furaffinity.net/view/34023234/
3. Team Building Exercise (both parts) https://www.furaffinity.net/view/33942049/
2. Back to Square One https://www.furaffinity.net/view/35954499/
1. Difficulty Downgrade https://www.furaffinity.net/view/32204890/
Q. Do you aim more toward humorous, wholesome, or sexy when drawing.
A: Most of the time the premise of my pictures is a joke in some way, I like making things that could still be enjoyed by people without a diaper fetish despite still being blatantly fetish content. I don't necessarily try to make things wholesome, it's just a byproduct of the things I find cute. The same goes for sexiness or fetish appeal, I don't draw things with the intent of making people horny, but if you have a diaper fetish and find that cute things make you horny, that's probably why you're here.
Q: Do you feel valued mainly for your art skills?
A: On a platform like this, of course. That's by design. But not in such a way that I feel like my self worth is tied to my artistic output, more in the sense that I'm aware that people are here to see my art because it's the art itself that they value, not because of any attachment to me as a person.
Q: Do you feel pigeonholed into drawing abdl content?
A: I wouldn't draw it if it wasn't something that I wanted to make. If I'm in the mood to draw something without diapers I still do it, even though most people aren't anywhere near as interested in seeing that. If I really just wanted to do what seemed to be the most popular there would be a lot more Isabelle, a lot more hypermessing, and a lot more Isabelle hypermessing around these parts.
Character and Design Questions:
Q: Are there any particular design traits you enjoy in a character?
A: Nothing specific comes to mind as far as appearance goes. I like simplicity in design and am often reminded of that fact whenever I try drawing magical girls or other characters in similarly intricate clothing. My girls are a bit plain but I like them that way.
Q: Do you plan on making other kemonomimi OC's?
A: I think I'm already neglecting enough of my characters. I don't need another right now.
Q: Do you plan on drawing any gijinka?
A: If Twitch-chat-chan counts, maybe.
Q: Do you plan on drawing any non-human / non-anthropomorphic creatures?
A: Not with a diaper on them.
Q: What's the deal with Bun's ears?
A: Bun has human ears. She wears a headband with the bunny ears on them to match her bunny tail, which is real. The headband goes behind the human ears and under her hair, but the ears pop up through her hair. It does this because I think it looks cuter than actually drawing the headband itself. If Bun wore headphones, they would also have bunny ears on them like her earmuffs do (as seen here https://www.furaffinity.net/view/34938898/ and here https://www.furaffinity.net/view/34061526/ ).
Q: Have you ever considered to make Bun's ears and tail real?
A: The tail always has been real. As for the ears, I probably will make them real eventually. Bunny ears can be very expressive for emoting and I've been unable to capitalize on that.
Q: How regressed / immature are your characters?
A: Bun is sort of the standard for the level of babyishness that I like to use. Though the specifics are subject to change, I consider her to be more or less an adult in terms of self awareness and interpersonal stuff. She's also usually levelheaded and reasonably mature, she gets a bit fussy sometimes but isn't very prone to outbursts. She's easily amused and distracted by childish things. She's not exactly dumb, she's still somewhat clever and would be more engaging to talk to than her academic peers (which would be toddlers to early elementary schoolers depending on how good of a day she's having). And of course she's usually in some stage of potty training and doesn't exactly excel at that most of the time. I think a key part of Bun's characterization is that she knows that she is supposed to be an adult and tries her hardest to work her way back up toward that, while also recognizing and accepting her limitations, but still sometimes being completely oblivious.
I like this sort of uneven regression design (and loose guidelines of exactly how little Bun is at any given time) because it makes her very flexible. I can put her into tons of situations for the purposes of comedy or cuteness and there's always something that feels right for her to do. Taking advantage of the adult side of adult baby is less common than it should be, but it is what gives me this niche.
My tiefling is very similar to Bun in terms of regression (and has a similar backstory but it doesn't matter because I never explored it meaningfully) but I don't draw her very often so that doesn't really matter. My deer is not at all a baby, she's just incontinent and loves her diapers. Likewise, Bun's friend likes ageplay and diapers but doesn't need them. Gamergirl isn't actually regressed, she's just naturally a dumb baby who happens to be an e-thot / influencer / model or whatever. It's an unfortunate side effect of being a gamergirl in the cyberfuture fetish hellworld in which she inhabits, maybe it's something in the gamer-branded gamer-drinks. I think of her as being extraordinarily ditzy and spoiled and fully embracing it. Whitey's not my character, but she's also just a bit dumb and likes AB stuff.
Q: What's the relationship between gamergirl and her little sister like?
A: Her little sister has quickly gone from seeing her as a big girl, to seeing her as a peer, then as an unusually tall toddler. She's done learning all the stuff they were once learning together, like the alphabet and how to use the potty, and her older sister is hardly any different than she was back then. She babysits her older sister sometimes but doesn't like it, especially when her diaper starts smelling. Both of them consider themselves to be the "big sister" and tend to argue about that when they get into disagreements.
Q: If your characters played League of Legends, what roles would they play and who would they main?
A: That's a weird question, considering that most of my girls aren't literate enough to flame their useless teammates in chat. But I guess if they were in the right frame of mind to play, they could definitely do that. Bun would play toplane and main someone like Darius, someone big and strong that can just run you down and slap you. Gamergirl would play midlane and main some assassin that she barely understands how to play, feed her ass off most of the time, but get excited enough when she actually pulls off a hype play to make up for losing the rest of the time. Everyone else would play whoever they have available for new players and quit after their third game.
Q: Is there any character you want to put in padding but can't bring yourself to?
A: I've considered drawing Nia from Xenoblade a few times but every time I look up a reference I realize that I don't want to draw that outfit and decide to draw someone else instead. There are probably other characters that I didn't draw from similar reasons but I can't think of them at the moment.
Favorites Question:
Q: What are your favorite pets/animals?
A: Cats are top tier. Rabbits are cute but seem like they'd be bad pets, they're more like a pet you'd like someone you know to have. I also respect the power of the hippo.
Q: What are your favorite mythical creatures?
A: Dryad is a good aesthetic.
Q: What are your favorite film genres?
A: 90's Hong Kong Action Comedy, whatever you'd call what Troma makes, cop movies
Q: What are your favorite music genres?
A: I'm always bad at naming musical genres, so I'll just list some of my favorite bands instead: Queens of the Stone Age, Incubus, The Dear Hunter, Tally Hall, Mother Mother, Metric, The Scary Jokes.
Q: What are your favorite videogame genres?
A: Turn based tactics, twin sticks shooter, Punch Outs
Q: Who is your Super Smash Bros main?
A: I play Smash so casually that I main the random character button. In most games I like Donkey Kong the most. Little Mac's my favorite in Ultimate.
Q: What is your League of Legends role/main?
A: I don't play anymore, but when I did was an ADC and mostly played Jhin and Caitlyn.
Q: Who is your favorite League of Legends champion?
A: In terms of design, Jhin. In terms of gameplay, also Jhin. In terms of lore, Gragas. In terms of cuteness, Poppy.
Q: Are there any League of Legends champions you like but don't think get enough love?
A: More people need to get with the program and realize that the yordle girls are adorable. Riot included. Where's Lulu's visual update? The Experiment/Poppet from Conker's Bad Fur Day looks uncannily like pre-rework Urgot holding Lulu's in-game model.
Diaper Questions
Q: Do you have any diaper-related headcanons?
A: They aren't headcanons as much as they are concepts I'd like to use for my own art. Stuff like Lulu infantilizing her friends or Pokémon trainers being in training pants probably counts. If I think of anything along those lines that's interesting enough, I usually end up drawing it at some point.
Q: Are there any niche diaper things you're into but haven't seen drawn?
A: My diaper interests don't extend much past cute ditzy girls wearing padded underwear in cutesy or embarrassing situations. Nothing niche enough that nobody would have drawn it before.
Q: Diapers or pull-ups?
A: The potty-training aesthetic is mainly why I prefer pull-ups to diapers. It's much more embarrassing to have an accident when it's reasonably possible that you can make it to the potty and also expected that you do so. They're also just really cute.
Q: What's your favorite brand of incontinence products?
A: I've never bought any so I don't have a preference.
Q: Do you enjoy messing in real life?
A: I'll find out if I ever buy diapers.
Miscellaneous Questions:
Q: Do you have a Youtube channel?
A: No.
Q: Do you remember the 21st night of September
A: How the stars stole the night away
Q: Why are you gay? Furthermore, why are you running?
A: That's just how it is.
Q: Is there a meaning behind your username? If so, is it related to you imitating lmndrp?
A: It used to combo with my user title, which was initially set to "Genuine Imitation" because that's what I was. The name doesn't really mean anything anymore.
Q: Why make a journal soliciting questions?
A: I felt like I should do some audience engagement after a year where I didn't acknowledge a single thing anyone posted on any of my stuff. I didn't reply to comments because I wanted my art to stand alone, separate from me. But now that it's been a whole year, I don't want to give off the impression that I'm too good to read my comments or anything. I figured people probably had questions by this point, so it was time to answer them.

Q: How was the transition from mouse to phone?
