...certainly compared with games from my youth. Maybe not a startling revelation but one that was dropped on me suddenly when an app I kinda enjoyed was suddenly terminated with little warning. No more updates. No more dlc. Nothing. By itself I could let that go, as annoying as it was, and move on. On that seemed to be the start of a chain. Next I hear the online pvp of a game I used to play has had its servers closed down. Then I hear that Star Wars Battlefront II will recieve no more updates. Seems to be painting a worrying picture. Maybe Battlefront II will be the next to be shut down. Perhaps that's the way of it. That modern games have a halflife and sooner or later become yesterday's news. I hope it's not true, but I'm certainly giving more thought to if I devote time to games like this in the future.
