Thinking: Commissions
Hello everyone!
My ultimate goal for this account is to get commissions up and going. The only problem is I'm new to this, obviously, and it's a bit daunting trying to figure out the best way to go about this for myself. I've been looking at other writers on the site to help give me ideas, it seems some do commissions by the page, and other's by word count. Page commissions seem to be heavily spaced out leaving a lot of empty space, a 3 page story being roughly 1,500-1,800 words. Commissions by word count seem to be properly detailed, having big paragraphs and formatted like a typical story/book.
My writing style definitely leans towards how word counter writers tell their stories, good detail and such.
To give an example, 'Build-A-Pup' was only 5 1/2 pages but it was 3,005 words. 'Granted a New Life' is 4,251 words at 7 1/2 pages.
I'm thinking of either do commissions off word count, or a mix of both, where word count commissions are detailed and well edited, with page commissions be more 'relaxed' with light editing.
Pending Pricing: Word count commissions - $20 per 1,000 words and/or 3/6/9 Page commissions - $20/$40/$60
I am also thinking about doing Roleplay commissions/sessions, basically a 1 on 1 roleplay with another person. Pricing would have to be by the hour, though figuring out a price seems kind of challenging. On one hand, a RP is a partnership, generally, both people posting and adding content, but it isn't always 'equal'. What I mean by that is, say I played the dominant character. I'm going to be taking charge, setting the scene, commanding and subjugating things to the submissive/bottom. Of course, that isn't always the case. Sometimes it is more equal, especially with two switch characters.
Should I do RP session pricing based of character roles? Example: $5/hr if the other person is the Dom, $8/hr we're both switches, $10/hr for me to be the Dom. Tying you up and playing with you how I wish, so wrapped up in pleasure and bondage most of your posts equate to you writhing, quivering, and moaning.
Edit: Is doing RP sessions a thing? I keep thinking about it and I don't know if anyone would even be interested in that.
I have also seen others do GM sessions, one person running a world/dungeon that the other person's character has to go through. Stat rolls, skill checks, inventory with items, etc. I've actually done a few of these before, and they take a lot of work. Could be something I offer as well.
Oh, and I've also looked into setting up a Patreon since everyone seems to have one these days. Might have that up and running soon! What kind of Patreon rewards would be fun to give out?
Current ideas: Access to the Discord group, Early Access to stories, Voting/Polls, Writing Streams, Q&A's, free monthly story/RP
Anyway, I've rambled on enough. I'm just hoping to get some feedback on this. I'm not in any rush, still focusing on getting stories out so everyone can get a feel for my writing and the wide array of kinks I go for.
