"Perhaps, but I think Spectra and the others have given up on the idea of hanging out. Apparently, I was supposed to just assume that going to the beach meant leaving the mobile work station at home."

"Italian. Eating the real stuff after months of MRE lasagna gives you a whole new appreciation for it."

How do you feel about the rookie hero, Dragon?

"I'll reserve judgment for a face to face meeting, so we'll see."

Other than Violetta, who was your first superpowered foe when you started out in Grant City?

Her gaze becomes darker in remembrance. "Marelli enforcer that my husband put away before...before his death. I'd been wearing the mask for about six months before his execution was set to be carried out. All the execution did was awaken latent superpowered abilities. Chaos ensued. I'd never gone up against superpowers before. Hadn't really been tested in that particular baptism of fire yet. But that night...I had to finish what David started." She closes her eyes momentarily and takes in a deep breath. "It was a long night."

War Wolf, who in Colmaton would consider decent sparring partners, and how does it feel having other heroes and heroines in the unregistered (and some registered) community looking to you for leadership?

"Would love a spar with Combat, after seeing him in action. The other Night Rangers provide a good workout as well. We know each other's styles, so we push those limits. Variety is most important, so anyone willing to stand toe to toe is acceptable."

"It's...strange." She takes a moment to think. "I led men in the Army. And when I found myself fighting a war alone and isolated in Grant City, it required a shift in tactics and attitude. Now, in Colmaton where the war is bigger than just me and Violetta, I've had to adjust once again. If others put their faith in me, I'm willing to lead. But I'll make sure they know what they're signing up for."

"War Wolf, legend has it that you have never smiled in public. Is this true and if so, what would it take for you to smile?"

"A goon with nunchucks once knocked himself out in front of me. Pretty sure I chuckled then."

"So War Wolf what difficulties if any do you have to deal with by being a unregistered hero? In comparison to say other Heroes working for the BoS or sponsored by a company?"

"Lack of support was the primary challenge to overcome. BOS agents have mission control, emergency medical services, backup, funding, and the like. Being unregistered means you have to be your own combat, science, technical, and medical departments, and pay for it all. The BOS also has media presence and public relations. If villains or politicians decide to wage a media campaign against an unregistered hero...that could be more destructive than a hundred villains.

"It sounds like a difficult road, and it is, but I still say the freedom is worth it."

What have you found is the most challenging aspect of maintaining your secret identity?

"Keeping up with technology. Facial recognition software, cameras everywhere, the risk of connections being made. Got to be proactive and implement methods to interfere with facial rec programs. I also have a number of protocols that are enacted at regular intervals. For instance, fabricating sightings of War Wolf in Grant City when Erica Decker is very publicly holding meetings in Colmaton."

War Wolf, if you found someone with the ambition and drive to get out there wanting to fight crime but is under prepared, such as not caring about their identity, under equip, under trained, so forth. What would you do?

What made you pick crimson and black as your color choice?

"Someone like that is not only a danger to himself, but also innocents. Unfortunately, in a place like Grant City, the criminal world will usually put an end to them before I can get to them. And I know from experience...sometimes they're villainous plants designed to lure me in and attack when my guard is down. I would be cautious."

"Red is a powerful color. It symbolizes a spectrum of extremes. Love and war, blood and passion. When I was at my lowest point training abroad, I'd planned to wear nothing more than black for my war against the Marellis. But my sensei, Nozaki...when he found me in Moscow and gifted me my mask, he instilled in me the idea of being more. A hero. Being a symbol. I decided to adopt a deep red as part of my garb. Love and war. The two things I know best."

If I may ask follow up questions that did make me think of a few.

Asides from Spectra, if she is one, was there anyone like that you saw potential in? Someone you wanted to take in as a student? It is a shame. I recall when you first started you witnessed the death of two hero's who were thrown from a building and onto the stage they were suppose to meet the public on. I can only imagine what happened to the newer and more over confident would-be heroes.

How is Nozaki holding up anyways? I don't recall her name but she came down to visit you one time she met you at DSI, asked Janet if you were out ironing your cape when she arrived in your lobby? You two ever work together again?

"I didn't even want Spectra as a student, she was somewhat forced on me after Faraday catastrophically infused her with steelight. I took her in to keep her power under control, and away from him. Our very close friendship and partnership did grow from there, and I don't regret it in the least, but I wasn't looking for students. Starshot and Starfall, those two heroes you described, they were the final victims of a vicious war against heroes in Grant City by the Marelli mob. Not many people dared wear a mask in Grant City even after I began taking them down a few notches. Those that did...didn't last long. I hope that changes now."

"That was Poison Lily who visited me, not Nozaki. We were both trained together by Nozaki in our youth. As far as I know, he's still kicking, still managing his dojo even at his age. I haven't worked with Poison Lily since then, but I wouldn't object to it."

You've worked with a lot of other supers whether you've liked it or not. Who was the most frustrating superhero you've ever hd to work with?

"When I first started working with him, I thought Slipstream would take that prize. But he turned out to be all right. Guess I'd have to say Mad Hat. That's a story for another time..."

When is War Wolf going to finish the fight with Strikira?

"Whenever she stops avoiding me and steps in the ring."

So War wolf what is your favorite kind of music?

"Classical mostly. Helps me focus, having instrumentals on in the background when I'm in the workshop."

"I believe most stress arises from self doubt. Train. Learn. Prepare. Practice calming the mind. When a stressful situation comes, you'll know you've done everything you possibly could have to prepare for it. From there on, fear is a choice."

She casts her eyes down for a few moments. "No point dwelling on fantasy like that. The past can't be changed."

"The one that decides the best way to get to me is through those close to me. As my circle of allies grows in Colmaton...it's a concern that's ever growing."

War Wolf, when to the best of your memory did you first meet Ranger?

"Not long after I arrived in Colmaton. Hostage situation at an antique store. I needed to have a chat with one of the perps about Violetta, but the BOS had set up a perimeter already. I...resolved the situation. She didn't like an unregistered heroine crashing her scene, I didn't like her in my face, so it wasn't the most agreeable introduction. I think we've at least reached an understanding since then."

Ah, so how does it feel to know her secret identity and she not knowing your’s?

"I'm as protective of others' identities as I am with my own, so it's just another piece of information mentally filed away. A name's a name, all I care about is the job she does, same as any hero. Doesn't change anything, as far as I see it."

I believe it is more than just that.

So, what do you think of the U.S. Cyber-Marshals?

Have you found ways in dealing with the loss of those you cared for?

"Being War Wolf is how I chose to deal with it. Any day where I'm still wearing the mask...I'm still dealing with it."

After your many adventures, what are your thoughts about working with others?

"I didn't intend to work with other when I first began this line of work. Then Spectra came along. Then Colmaton, and the ups and downs of working with other heroes. I'm very cautious, and I don't intend to drop that anytime soon. Trust is earned and misplacing trust can be fatal in combat. But I'm willing to give cooperation a try, from time to time.

What you think of specialist non-combat heroes/heroines. e.g. chemigal, who sort of avoid the usual engagements with any villains?

"All who serve in the fight deserve recognition, whether they're on the frontline or not."

How do you feel about shag carpeting in bathrooms?

"There's never a wrong place for shag carpeting...except bathrooms, and everywhere else."

Have you ever been tempted to kill Violetta and her henchfurs and if you had the chance would you take it?

"When I last saw Poison Lily, I admitted that I fully intend to kill Violetta once I find her. That hasn't changed."

Dominic: I'm happy to meet my idol face to face. I have a question regarding a theoretical situation. What if you and Spectra were to infiltrate a mob casino in Central Europe to pay a local mob boss visit. Someone who might know more about possible whereabouts of Violetta in those parts. But during the infiltration someone sneaks behind Spectra and snags her away. At some point you realize she is not following you and you are contacted by the mob boss via intercom. She invites you to use the main lift to her office. No tricks from her and neither you can or else Spectra meets a 9mm round. In the office you meet with her and she has proposal. You would do something for her. Deal with a certain super villain problem in her city, once you do you would NEVER come after her and her operation as retaliation. In exchange Spectra will not end up killed As well she will share any information she has on Violetta's whereabouts in Central Europe. Would you make this deal and keep your end of the bargain?

"That's...a disturbingly specific scenario. So specific that I have to wonder what your intentions are. For security reasons, I'll keep my thoughts on this to myself."

Leans across the short rooftop wall and crosses arms.''If you think I would set up my own Idol into a trap?'' Lifts an eye brow while calmly smiling.'' The answer is, no. So relax I'm not a mobster. I'm an ex-cop who was on the run from the Mob for 6 years. More like I wanted to know if you would do anything to save her life. Because I would. I wonder if you would do the same. The mob boss used in this scenario? In truth, she would be more eager to play ball with you then do stunt like that. However.....I know those who would not mess around and do something like this. That is the type of criminals I have to face currently. The kind that doesn't play in ''rule the world'' thing or wants to obliterate it. I'm talking about the ones who mean business.''

WarWolf, who in the superhero community, BoS or unregistered, would you like to add as a partner in your activities?

"I'm not exactly looking for partners, but there are a few I wouldn't mind getting acquainted with. Given the threats that arise on a regular basis, knowing what counteractive powers are out there could be useful. Won't name names for now, Keep it close to the vest."

As a fellow (And new) vigilante, I have a couple of questions:

1. Has there ever been a hero or vigilante that you necessarily don't approve of, or at least of their actions?

2. Who would you call your strongest and most dangerous enemy?

3. How is it that whenever people like you wear masks, your eyes turn white!? Seriously, is there some sort of lenses on your masks or something!? I've been dying to know!

"Kayla Bowles comes to mind. Wild, undisciplined, easily prone to anger. There's potential there, but it needs tempering."

"You might assume it to be Violetta, but I'd say the Marelli mob as a whole held that title, before I crippled them. No one could match Violetta's cold cruelty, mass destructive nature, and pure contempt for life. But it was Don Marelli that let her off the leash. Her and so many others."

"Yes, my mask has lenses. The mask isn't just fabric, it's a piece of tech itself, with filters and functions."

"Don't know if 'favorite' could really be applied anywhere, but the battle that's stuck with me the most in a positive way was my first takedown of a superpowered enemy. I'd made some waves in Grant City, but every one of the city's best heroes always had superpowers. The media all but counted down to when I'd be killed off. It was one of the hardest nights of my life, but when I defeated my first powered enemy, it was...well, it made the long war seem winnable."

You seem to be pretty adept at many differing styles of unarmed combat. Are there any particular fighting styles that you find pair will with this occupation, and do you have a favorite? Would you ever be up for sparring, if only to help teach an inexperienced vigilante how to sharpen his skills?

"I could go on for an hour about this topic and its intricacies, but it boils down to knowing what style to apply to what foes. For instance, common thugs whose hand to hand skill extends to broken bottles and haymakers...overthinking a fight like this can be detrimental. A quick, overwhelming blow via knee or elbow in muay thai fashion can be enough to end a fight within two seconds. Karate and kickboxing can add some further defense and precision strikes if facing multiple opponents. As a nonpowered heroine, I frequently encounter enemies stronger physically, so proficiency in jiu-jitsu helps me turn their strength against them and get them off their feet. All of this before adding gadgets and environmental awareness into the mix. As I said, a complicated topic. My favorite? A mix of taekwondo and kickboxing."

Afterburn - Bonjour Wolf of War!

You have talented fighting skills and you're hardened to the core, I'm sure you could take a crooks life with ease and barely flich, No? I ask this because I've wondered why you don't. Your nemesis, Violetta, is someone you would strike down, and rightfully so, who wouldn't? But would you stop someone else from killing their Nemesis? What if, say, Strikia intended to kill Lady Hatcher? Or the Vesara wanted to kill ze Sharpfury? Would you stop them? Maybe there is a criminal in ze Grant City who runs a gang and is responsible for killing the lives of dozens, would you stop a woman who's husband and child was killed in a drive by shooting this gang leader is responsible for from getting her revenge, from killing her Violetta?

In short. Would you stop someone from getting their revenge, would you stop someone from killing their Violetta? And why do you not end the lives of those who are nearly, if not just as, of even more worse than the Violetta?

"That's a dilemma that is certainly not lost on me. How can I justify the hypocrisy of killing the woman who destroyed my life, while also standing in the way of others in the same situation? As a detective in the GPD, my husband lived in a world of corruption and never gave into it. Ever. He used to say, no one can truly claim to have values if those values haven't been tested. It's easy to say you're clean if you've never been offered a bribe. I've thought about that a lot. I've killed as a soldier. I've killed in extreme Code Black defensive situations. But I've never murdered. In a world where people all too often make up justifications for their breaches of morality, can I do the same and see myself as any better? Or...is it infinitely more immoral to let Violetta live and endanger countless more lives?

"If it sounds like I don't have an answer, it's because I don't. Maybe one day I will have an answer. We'll see what my continued hunt for Violetta brings about..."

It is a very conflicting question, it may not sound like an answer but in a way it is. What do you think of those who do take a more deadly approach? Ones who fight as you do but end the lives of truly twisted individuals, not some gas stop robber or purse snatcher, but gang leaders, wanted murders, and even villains?

"That has to be taken on a case by case basis, I believe. Nothing's ever black and white. Sometimes, deadly force is needed. And sometimes deadly force is the first step in becoming a monster."

War Wolf, I have several questions. But I'll stick with what I have at the top of my head.

1. What's your opinion on Turbo Jaguar as well as Paladice City's Heroes as a whole.
2. WOULD you ever team-up if you crossed paths.
3. Do you like spicy food, like spicy chicken wings?

"I haven't looked into him much, but if he's not on my radar for the wrong reasons, then I have nothing against him at the moment. That goes for anyone in Paladice. Teaming up isn't something I do lightly, so there'd need to be good reason."

What is crime like now in Grant city after you pretty much dismantled the Marelli family, have any other criminals or supervillains come in to fill the vacuum left behind?

Have you ever encountered any other heroes within Grant City or the surrounding area that was inspired by your victory over the Marelli family and wished to follow your example?

What was your worst injury on the job? How long did it take for you to recover from it?

Are there Naga or Lamia in your world? Have you ever encountered any serpent-like villains?

1. When you first ventured out into the role of vengeful justice you wanted to be alone, yet found yourself attracting many troubled heroines: the hard trusting cop-turned-hero Spectra, the emotionally/spiritually tormented Oasis, the intriguing/wise-cracking/loyal Strikira, the formerly reckless redeeming hacker H4CK, the unfocused and prideful Star, the super fans of Cyber Lynx and Rapid Rabbit, and many others. The fact that they all look up to you despite not having any powers must make you feel something. What are your feelings on losing one family, only to gain another with the 'Night Rangers' and friends? (I don't know if H4CK, Cyber Lynx, Rapid Rabbit, and Star are a part of the Night Rangers or not. I bet you still have strained relations with heroes like Ranger.)

2. You started simply wanting to hunt down Violetta and avenge the murders of your husband and son, yet your actions soon caught the attention of many villains. Some want you out of the way whilst many more want to capture you, either to sale as a slave or keep as a pet/trophy to play with/admire. Violetta seems to keep outrunning your reach as the likes of Lady Hatcher and the Hen House, French Rose, Madame La Rouge, Lady Onyx, Lady Magdalene, Steklo, Sharpfury, Gym Brats, Tongue Twister Sisters, and Sandstalker try to snare and restrain you for their own personal matters. How does it feel to meet these foes who want nothing more than to have you for themselves despite having no prior history towards them? Does the fact that you have no powers yet succeeded where other super-powered ones failed draw them to you? Does it flatter you even a little bit that so many villains want you? Do you fear you will spend the rest of your life entangled with these 'others' whilst your true target escapes capture? (Maybe a captured Sandstalker could give you pointers on how to hunt. O.O)

3. It's no secret you have spent quite a lot of time captured by those who either want to sell you, kill you, or keep you ... but one thing seems to stick out on occasion: You're serious and focused nature seem to have attracted 'hunters', both enemies and allies, who seem determined to restrain you and subject you to the deadly art of ... tickle torture. Whilst captured/awaiting to be sold you seem to always invite challenge, due to your stoic personality, in an attempt to 'crack your armor.' Even your allies seem to want to make you laugh, either through fantasy daydreaming (Strikira ... when she's not trying to get you to laugh at her jokes), or through a training session whose true purpose is to restrain/tickle you. (Spetctra/Cyber Lynx/Rapid Rabbit.). It wouldn't be surprising if others like Oasis, H4CK, Vesara, Miracle, etc. don't think about it from time to time. What are your thoughts on these attempts to tickle you into submission? What are your thoughts on being a tickle target to your many foes? Does it bother you or cheer you up that your friends want to 'make you laugh?' Do you ever want to give in and be the tickler to friend and foe alike? Did your husband ever try to cheer you up with the tickles or did you play innocent games with your son? What were your thoughts on that fan contest where 'Rain the Wolf' got to spend the day with you and you ended up agreeing to be stocked and tickled? (Based on a fan art in the past; I don't know if you're answering canonically or just in general.)
