By setting it up as a spinoff character, he doesn't give up any creative control of Usagi. that being said, I'll probably not see it, as I don't do netflix.
Wait until the entire season is available, use the free days or pay for one month, binge watch and cancel the subscription. If it's just one show you want to see, that's always a possibility.
I have the whole run of Albedo. Call it my rainy day fund. Someone gave me some of the rare issues in the 90s. Smart using that issue to fund work equipment.
Considering the huge body count in nearly every issue, I was wondering how they were going to clean that up for animation. Sort of disappointed they're not doing the actual comic; it's been going for so long they'd have an endless backlog of stories to animate.
Well This is a smart move by Stan. He doesn’t have to give any rights to Usagi away, and I believe he is creative enough to come up with new stories fairly easily.
I actually met Stan at Eurofurence, I recorded his panel on my dinky lame phone at 480 - An inspiring guy! really great to talk to and gave me some good advice in comic making :)
Well, just hope they animate said character well...
Typical Japanese style just grates so badly it's difficult to watch, even if the story driving it is good (case in point, that Beast Town anime suggested recently. *HORRIFIC* animation, good story).
From the description, it sounds like a rejiggering of the old Space Usagi concept that was abandoned back in the Nineties.
I wish I could afford Netflix. Between the cost in dollars and hours I just can't handle it. I don't need another time-sink in my life.
also reminds me that I need to add up to my collection. I had to neglect it for way too long, and I'm behind the comics for years...
