Looks like Patreon is having more and more trouble. People are leaving at an alarming rate.
Naturally this forces an artist such as myself (who depends on that form of income) to adapt to the change in terrain.

from what i gathered, Patreon is trying to claim the works from artists as their own, and strike you down if you post your art onto other sites outside of patreon

Or if you post something to a different site that they find objectionable. Even if it's a site that you haven't used in 10 years, and never mentioned on your patreon.

Did they change their terms of service to be able to do that or something? They do not have a legal right to claim works of art made by their users. That is a big violation of fundamental intellectual property rights/laws. If one of these artists were to sue the company for that they would probably win.

I understand they didn't even write such a thing in their TOS: They're doing it without any written or legal basis just because they feel they can get away with it.

they can only get away with it because no one is taking legal action against them. Take legal action against them lol.

glad the momentum's picking up on that front, and also glad I was kind of slow to even set a patreon up since all this fine print they decided to cram in the TOS

Patreon is self detonating... same way Furaffinity is. I still rely on it to survive otherwise I'd boycott it at once. Fully support this decision as more and more people seem to be taking it: Subscribestar is the new Patreon.
