I decided to just go on and post this now since my sleep and schedule are both borked beyond repair at the moment anyways. Last month was rough to say the least. I ended up having a Second trip to the ER within a week or so after the first and my follow up with my gp. They weren’t totally sure of what was going on but, they considered it still asthma. Also suspected vocal dysfunction as the cause.
anyways a little later I followed up with my allergist and he knew exactly what was going on. I’m on a stronger inhaler now and the chest pain is mostly gone. Providing I stay on schedule taking it.
As for how I’m doing I’m hanging in there. I’m staying home as much as humanly possible, I’m angry, depressed and just plain tired, but I’m hanging in there. I’m taking care of myself and quite constantly infuriated with my relatives but, not because I’m around them too much, literally cause they keep putting us all at risk.
However that aside I am trying to take care of myself, I’m on dose 2 of my new migraine med and it’s working better than the last one but, we may have to raise the dose. As a reward for the physical and emotional hurricane that is July my mom and I decided I deserved a treat I’d been saving for a long time and we financed an iPad Pro and I’M LOVING IT!!! It is really natural and I’m honestly drawing way better than in a sketchbook as shocking as it is. That became a big force toward putting myself in an upward emotional swing. I’m finally able to create again even if I’m laid up. I’m looking forward to sharing what has come out of it.
I also did my first test stream last month annnnd there’s going to need to be some internet fixes before it’s possible for me to stream more than audio.
Next I plan to focus on my physical health more cause laying in bed all day is no good. The migraines, allergies and other factors make it a place I spend a lot of time but, my body is suffering. I’m looking at exercises I can do in doors with minimal space and just things I’ll feel motivated to do. I downloaded a guided yoga audiobook, have been recommended a tai chi book and have been digging around for my land based PT exercises.
I’m also looking at taking up some social distancing compatible sports like archery and I’m looking into horseback riding if I could just figure out how to get riding boots without trying on 20 pairs. I’m not exaggerating either, my last running shoe fitting took 220 pairs before they found something that fit. The best tact shop in the area closed down a couple years ago so my options are limited but, I shall find riding boots. I tell ya something I wasn’t expecting however, in horseback riding the PANTS COST MORE THAN THE BOOTS!!!
Anyways yeah, we’re hanging in there, trying to stay safe, staying home, control what is in our control and look after ourselves. I hope you all are doing well, staying safe and all.
What’s something you’re really happy with that you have done recently? Can be anything, even get out of bed.
PS I am selling holo Fab Sphynx stickers on Gumrosd to raise money for the Guilford Green LGBTQIA+ center. Please consider purchasing one and helping a good cause my current Donation goal is $100 and I have a looong way to go.
