Work Update

‧͙⁺˚*・༓☾☽༓・*˚⁺‧ Hellos again!
I thought I'd let everyone know something finally panned out for me! At least I hope it does. I've held my breath for a week now to make sure it looked like things were going smoothly before I said something.
As it turns out, the interview I had 2 weeks ago was a good one. I had to take a computer assessment and after the temp agency put me in a good light I was hired for the job I was hoping to get!
I'll be working through the temp agency for the next several weeks for a consulting firm doing administrative/research stuff. It's a complete work from home position making thankfully over a living wage.
It'll be 20 hours for those several weeks until the Firm hires me on full time. The owner explained it to me as being a paid intern position and in 6 months they do an evaluation and if I'm still good and hanging in well then I'll go to working 40 hours a week at a very steep pay increase and be hired on.
So cross fingers for me! I'm actually really excited and nervous about this one. Not to mention, no commute, no gas money wasted weekly and I'm making a living wage finally.
It's why I've been so hesitant to say anything. It feels like it's almost too good to be true but the company has been vetted and have been in business for many years so I'm not /terribly/ worried but I am a bit nervous lol.
I wanted to talk a minute about how I'd like to see my commission work go on from this point.
Work starts on August 31st. I'll only be working the 20 hours as far as I know. I've been told that part a load of times so it's what I'm going on. With 20 hours, I'll still have a really good chunk of time to keep working on commissions.
I'd like to realistically see my active commissions completed by the end of next week if possible. Once that happens I'd like to start taking on a few small commissions to test the waters pretty much.
So if you're interested in nabbing something from me, look around by mid to end of next week for an update on that.
Anywho, I'm going to get back to drawing. Have a good day!

BTW, how'd you get a living wage through a temp agency? Anything I've ever seen through temp agencies has been maybe $14 an hour at best, and typically minimum wage.
