I'm Employed!!! And it's basically a Dream Job!

That's right! You read the title correctly!
I have just secured a job at Alta Ski Resort in Utah! I will be working as a lift operator!!
Now this probably sounds like a funny picture of a 'dream job', but I didn't realize until my interview how good the lift operator position is! First off, I will get a LOT of time to ski while still on the clock! I'm gonna get PAID to SKI! Second, while I'll probably stick to one lift as the ski season progresses, I'll be constantly swapping between base and peak, so even though I do have ADD, I doubt things will ever get too stale or monotonous. And I've had plenty of experience working with people before so I definitely don't mind that aspect! And third, I get free skiing at Alta, and once a week at Snowbird, which are two of my favorite ski resorts, PERIOD!
Now, another reason this news may sound confusing is because as some of you are aware, I majored in Aerospace Engineering hah! So it definitely seems strange to chase a position as a lift operator, no?
Well that's because I'm taking some time to work at a ski resort while I still can! I won't be so young and active forever, and I feel that once I get an engineering job, it would be unwise to quit and work at a ski resort later. I'd probably be missing so many opportunities for advancement. So I'm gonna get this out of the way before I get an engineering job.
So, yes, this job is only temporary. The pay is nowhere near good enough to sustain me later down the line. So it's all about those skiing benefits baby!
I am so dang excited for this Winter season! I start work in November, and man the ski season cannot arrive soon enough!
