I can't eat cinnamon buns any more. ;__; My aunt puts an entire cup of cinnamon in her cinnamon pecan loaf and it induced an allergy in me after I ate it a couple times. My tongue swelled up to double its normal size, turned white and rigid and numb after my whole mouth felt like it was on fire for about 3 hours and turned bright red like it was about to spontaneously bleed. It's still a roller coaster yet not cooped up in the house all the time taking care of my grandma 2 mornings a week so may aunt can work with her daytime kids. The need for getting out on my days off is needed and stinks still can't get together with friends and needing a break from family. Other than that I'm doing ok wearing mask when going out to stores and washing my paws.

I'm trying to do what's best for me as well with the anxiety rising while on the job and even when at home. It's a long story.

I'm by no means a doctor, but... if you haven't, check out l-theanine. It's a great supplement to take which can help with anxiety a bit. It has something of a calming effect. I take it for my bipolar and general anxiety along with some more potent prescription stuff.

My mom has some essential oils I can use and even some of my own. Lemon and lavender are really good.

I’m still living with my parents at age 25 after graduating from college about 17 months ago, working weekends, struggling to do research for a job coach that my mother hired.

I've lived with my parents off and on throughout the years, and they've lived with me at the same time, too. Heh. Nothing wrong with living with your parents so long as you're working towards your own goals and helping out, y'know? Living with your parents past a certain age gets a weird stigma, but there's nothing wrong with it. The economy is hard enough as it is sometimes to fly solo.

I'm doing well, thankful that my job not only keeps me employed during these times, but I have actually still been going to work as usual, too! Even though it started with all us IT folk going remote, I've had a lot of "layer 1" work to do to finish up the massive network upgrades, lol.

I'm also very thankful that my employer, being a college with a lot of money, has been testing us twice weekly (and even more thankfully, using those normal-sized Q-tips that you just swap around inside the tip of your nose, not the yardstick one you shove into your brain!)

That's good! Heh. I haven't been covid tested myself, but I've seen videos of those long swaps and it just... eugh, man, y'know how people feel about getting shots? That's me with cotton swabs the size of baseball bats.

I know exactly how people feel about getting shots, because I'm that people :'3 I just got my flu shot on Monday and I was *NOT* looking forward to it...

And when they first said they were gonna require weekly COVID testing for those of us working on campus, I assumed it was the kind with the roto-rooter snake going into your head, and was like "Welp, guess I'm gonna have to be 100% remote now...." But then I found out the test they do just barely makes the cotton tip disappear - and you swab yourself too - so I was like yo sign me up! X3

Working my arse off like usual, no time away from it. Been stuck working double-duty all summer, every day of the week, even the weekend. Lawn care always has been a busy line of work, but now everyone is at home, there's much more to do. Goodness knows no one in my area can be bothered to do anything for themselves, hell forbid.

Feh.. just under a buttload of stress here, dude. Pretty hard to keep one's cool when they're burning up under the boiling heat of the hot sun, and then you got these tools who stay indoors in the A/C, always saying "It hot enough for ya'!?"... no, just no, don't say that to the guy whose out there doing all the lawn work while you sit indoors in the A/C and choke down chocolate like a brat on Halloween.

Now that Autumn is here, I am begging for the frost to come and burn all of the grass so I can finally get some time off before I finally lose it on the job.

Oof, I feel that. And yeah, I feel bad for people who have to down lawn service in the middle of summer. People who do lawn care deserve way more money than they get.

Aye, already having a hard enough time making ends meet, i've had many folks try to get me to charge even less, and theeeen, they'll add more work to ya', and if you ask for more payment for it.. they' got a problem with it. We've been working for this really rich guy since the 1980s, never gotten a raise. Soon as we ask for one, he'll fire us. We're about to quit him because he's turning into a slum lord. ¬_¬;

Just remember to always use ref! Learning to draw is a lot about reputation, but also buildin' good habits. Totally check out the app "Handy Art Tool" if you ever need help with hands. It's an app that lets you pose hands and rotate them in a 3D environment so you can angle them any way you need 'em.

Not well unfortunately, I've discovered I have PTSD and it's been a nightmare to put up with.

Hopefully you can get some help for it. I don't deal with PTSD, but I can relate through my bipolar. It's... it's not pleasant, but things can get better. Just gotta remember to take it one day at a time.

I'm Sooooooo bored! ALL the animation studios in the province are working from home or at limited capacity. I wanna go back to work! But like go outside, to a different place to work. Because being stuck in the same room everyday as the world is seemingly ending outside has not been good for my health!

BUT being in BC where covid isn't nearly as bad as other places means that I should more grateful. Cause its really bad for others out there, while I cant even imagine how tough it is...

The good news is BC is a great place to be if you're an animator, so while things are crazy, you're in a good place once things resume some sense of normality.

I did get a bite from a well know studio in Vancouver, but it turned out that they were looking for flash animators, not Toon boom. Even though the listing mentioned both! XD. Still they felt my reel was good enough to reach out, and they gave me some good feedback. So its not all bad.

In December, I had said that 2019 was the worst one of my adult years so far. This year has beaten it out. Instead of achieving any of my ambitions, I've been unable to find another job after losing my last one, and have spent my time since the pandemic started hiding from the outside world. I'm still social online, but in real life, I haven't cracked a smile for a long time.

Were it not for this site, the Furry community (including the friends I've made there), and my own uploads, I really wouldn't have anything else to live for.

I've had a lot of bad years, mind you, but never as bad as this. Things are just kind of... well, all over the place.

I had my second kidney stone removal surgery on Monday that went very well. I have no stone, no stent, and I am feeling the most relaxed I've felt the rest of this month. It's been perpetual hell ever since the 14th, when the first surgery happened :<

Oof, speedy recovery! I've never had a kidney stone, but I have had a gall bladder stone before, and I can assuredly say I wouldn't have wished it on my worst enemy.

I'm surviving, just getting ready to make a new chapter and a character that fits more like it is me and not something that people think I should be. I've been doing it for 10+ years. Time for me to make a change.

Yeah, I feel that. I've been cheating on my own character for a while. Sometimes a change can be refreshing.

Honestly, i;m doing pretty good. I got a promotion with my job, ive lost weight, i've gained more friends online by joining vr and have got to get to know people, including yourself, more! I'm cooking more, i'm starting to grow food again. That said I haven't been out anywhere in months, I've been trying to provide support to friends where I can and donate to my friends if they need help. There's a lot more i can go over but, things have been okay.

Congrats on the promotion and weigh loss! I've... I've gained weight. A lot of weight. Being a stress eater in 2020 has not been kind to the ol' hips.

Yeah, I can relate to that somewhat, maybe not stress eater, but I love food.... so much delivery didn't help my weight. c.c

I have a few recipes that can help you out if you need it. it involves some meal prepping with friends to get it done within a couple of hours. And I get the stress eating, I actually do that as well. But as a result I've been staying away from preservatives and foods from places like fast food and pizza. If you can get out all the preservatives and cool the food yourself with fresh ingredients, it's all the more better and can really help. Also bike rides at least a couple of times a week if you can.

I've also been wanting to make a dragon character, but have been having difficulty figuring out the design.

Well, after 3 and a half months at the start of covid. I'm back at work, averaging 5 shifts a week. I did get sick once, but a covid test and self isolation showed it wasn't it. doing good for the most part. Thankfully. c.c

Glad to hear you're doing better either way. I can only imagine the sense of dread I'd have if I got sick during covid.

I'm the sort of guy that doesn't worry about anything I can't control, so I likely had it easier than most. But it is good that it wasn't it.

Pretty jazzy honestly, all things considered. Made a lil home gym since going to one probably isn't the best idea right now. Playing through a ton of games I've never had the time to finish before. Trying again to teach myself to draw/use art programs (found out I am awful at the latter xD) and all-in-all just kinda chillin with a very 'Go to the Winchester, have a pint, and wait for all this to blow over' mentality and its so far going decently. Hope you and yours are well and hope next year goes off without any issues :)

I've been thinking about a home gym but man, they can be expensive. In the mean time I have VR games like try to keep me at least somewhat active. Dancing in VR Chat is stupid fun.

I've been finding myself getting anxiety when I do go out, mostly for grocery shopping. I've always had social anxiety to some degree, but it's been pretty thick lately.

Been good. Have the house to myself for a couple weeks, had a pizza night with a sister and after extensive nibbling of my fingers, I have decided to nickname my cat, Dee, Audrey II.

Yup. Her original name, Dee, is actually short for Daenerys Stormborn, after the Game of Thrones character. Parents named her.
Not the most conventional naming, I know, but I think the rule book went out the window when they named our first cat ASBO (Anti Social Behaviour Order) due to her violent tendencies as a kitten too.
Old cat now. Just a lap cat. I prefer calling her Sbo.

So, the TTRPG is set on my VolTerra setting(which there are glimpses of in my gallery), a sci-fantasy world that's a 22nd Century Earth whose reality was fused with that of a world of dragons and magic. In the apocalyptic aftermath of the fusion, the two worlds must learn to work together in order to survive. Playable characters include dragons, synths, gargoyles (the always-stone golem kind, not the Disney variety), velociraptor-like kobolds, and several kinds of fae.

Oh, and anthro of all kinds, naturally.

It uses D&D 5e as its basic chassis, with several BECMI-era rules reintroduced (Morale and Reaction rolls being the biggest addition, alongside detailed hireling rules), and an entirely new non-Vancian magic system influenced by Fullmetal Alchemist and Avatar: The Last Airbender.

I wish I could say its better, though its not, my sister was about to go into a better job before lockdown, been really bored being cooped up in the house, the cats we own have been trading off on whos in heat (both sisters), and that can be pretty stressful. I was told a while ago in a group they never took me seriously after months of being in there, left about a couple weeks later after I couldn't take it, been missing my best friend for months, cant visit him because quarantine, nearly had a big blown scare since my mom could've caught the virus from a cousin o ours she had to talk to (we all wear masks), thankfully the test came out negative, so we're fine, had to limit my usage of Facebook a couple months ago because the news was depressing and really affected my mood, some news slips in, though at a more moderated pace so I'm not completely out of the loop, truly realizing America is a laughing stock kind of hurt, though I understood, though it hurts it'll probably take a couple years for other countries to open the borders to the US because of the spread and idiots, and also been trying to cope and pass the time, trying not to go super bored or possibly a bit crazy

No worries! That's kind of the point of this journal -- to just check in, ask how people are doing, let them vent if they want to. 2020's just been that kind of year for a lot of people, and it's good to just sit here and go "But how are YOU doing?" once in a while.

I've been working from home since March and in home lockdown since June.

But I'm a software developer so really the only effect this has had on me is that it takes git longer to push and pull, and sometimes I need to go sit next tot he router for particularly large transfers.

I've been working from home for a few years now, and it... I feel cramped and cooped up from time to time. I can still do everything I need to, but I weirdly miss the routine to some degree.

Been doing a lot of physical labor for September between dad and stepmom asking for a lot of help, and just helped  webster move out of her apartment to her townhouse. hanged out with some best friends, and just trying to survive and stay sane. Rough... As I know it was for many. This year taught me how to become 100% emotionally dead and impervious to anything and everything. Just wake up, drive to work, finish work with minimum effort and no goals in mind, back to home, forget the world exists, hug and play with my dog and just work on my art or hobbies. It makes everything so much easier.

A big bag of mixed feelings I would say. 2020 has been abysmal for obvious reasons, but I can't say it's been all bad. Managed to go to NFC before corona hit and it was such a great con, then had a great summer party with furry friends, perfect weather for hiking and such. ^^ And well, got married a few weeks ago! So can't complain it's been all bad.

Big changes are in store next year actually, since I will be unemployed and have to change careers. ^^; And how goes with you all things considered?

Eh... mixed feelings tbh. I'm holding up like most others are doing, but i keep feeling very weird from this whole situation ><
I just hope it can end soon...

Overall tho , i'm not doing too bad either, been spending quite a bunch of time gaming with a few friends which made me have quite good days, it surely was fun ^^

Hanging in there. I'm moving from the suburbs to downtown along the lakefront sometime in November. Already got my apartment reserved.

Doing well enough thanks. I have work and my health so there is much to be grateful for. Others are not so lucky in that regard. Life is become a steady routine. Work, go home, and work in the garden. I admit it is not a very exciting existence, but working with plants helps keep my mind in order. A good thing to as I probably would have lost it a few months back.

To be honest with you, I've been doing good.

2018 was worser then 2020 for me. I just wish the majority of people wont be so dumbheaded x.x

Doing okay really, lot of online gaming.
Some real craziness this year in my life but good friends help with getting through it all at least.

Haven't really had a peaceful nights' sleep in four years. This past week, I've oscillated between feeling numb and being so anxious I can barely breathe. I'm fortunate to have wonderful roommates with whom I can commiserate so we don't feel so alone and isolated - and friends to distract from the chaos. Otherwise, life has more or less been a holding pattern of routines punctuated with occasional turbulence.

I work at a major shipping company and we have been very busy lately. So I have been coming home quite exhausted lately. I am thankful that I still have a job though. So I guess there is that. Also, for some reason the song Walking on Broken Glass came into my head the other day and it made me think of a giant Dragoneer where other furs are Walking on Dragoneer's Ass.

I've not been as active as much here, but I've been plugging away
