A journal to post a journal!
If there's anything I learned at this point? It's just that I'm not a social-on-social-media guy! It's exceedingly rare that I ever have an urge to make make journals, personal posts, and similar. Even on twitter I just sort of bounce on, slap down art, chuck heart emojis at people leaving nice comments, and then scramble off to continue my squiddly deeds. However, I realized I hadn't posted anything journal wise on here since like...what, end of 2018? WHOOPS!
Same old same old, keeping busy, staying in good spirits despite the hell-train that is 2020! I'm hoping to knock some personal projects out of the way before this year ends.
As an aside, I tend to get a lot of people prodding me about commissions and when they'll be available. I want to try and say this in the chillest most polite fashion possible: I don't know. And I'll never know. It's not something I will ever be able to nail down with an official date for everyone where they're able to snag a guaranteed slot. Between me being an elusive creature of whimsy and the sheer bulk of interest I get, it is what it is. It sucks since there's no clear consistent efficient way that gives every person who wants to commission me a fair swing at being able to do so, specially since I can only ever handle one or two slots at a time these days. Lately I've either been doing YCHs or casual private stuff, just because it's typically a guaranteed good experience between output, quality, pay, and overall satisfaction. I haven't posted everything I've been on just because a lot has either been private or just....well, because I forget, heh.
As an aside, just a reminder that I have an official site that houses all my artist info, and a good hunk of my archive! If you have questions it's typically best to check there first, and if not already answered you can lob an email my way! And while I appreciate some people's interest, I try to be transparent about how I am very selective about the clients I take on these days. If you don't like to read/respect one's requirements and boundaries, and just want a cheap deal rather than fairly compensating an artist, then I'm not your guy! Then again, folks that fall into this category likely aren't going to be reading this anyway, haha!
Anywho, hope ya'll are well and can enjoy the holiday season. TAKE IT EASY!
