I stayed home away from everyone this year.. my family all aggreed that this year we would forgo it. But once we get vaccinated family gatherings are back on.

Vaccinations may not last long, 3 months or so. People are likely to assume vaccination means forever and go out thinking they are immune and spread it further. :P

I get a flu vaccine every year, I wouldn’t have an issue getting a corona vaccine quarterly if that’s what’s needed to stamp it out. Most I don’t think, would, it I am in the immunocompromised class, and several family members are over 60, so us having the shot will help, even if the protection is short lived

I don't get flu shots because of the fact that it has to be done yearly and one time when I was a kid the flu shot gave me a temp of 104 and a severe flu.

There is a difference between a flu shot and a nasal spray. The shots are deactivated virus, the spray is weakened live virus. I always try to get mine in September or October, and have for over a decade, never got flu from the shots. I have gotten flu after getting a shot later n the season but it’s usually like a bad cold that passes free a few days instead of being in bed for a week or two.

I was a kid, they didn't properly weaken the virus. Not sure what spray you mean, flu shots have always been shots. And vaccines are weakened viruses, not deactivated.

That’s what I am talking about. I always get the shot. Some people get the flu before they get the shot then have symptoms before the shot can take effect (around 2 weeks, give or take). It’s why getting a flu shot in September or early October is the best time for it

So you believe that we should lock everyone down again? The only 2 week lockdown that is still going on

I believe that people need to be smart and stop going to social gatherings till Corona is solved. Especially since this is now Winter, and there's a lot more danger of people getting respiratory issues.
