Beginner's advice for learning how to draw?

Hey,
I have been meaning to get back into digital art. However, I have no idea what I'm doing. Can anyone recommend any books aimed at beginners, but for digital art? I use Procreate and an iPad :)

FA+

Also, I'd recommend against using Procreate, honestly. It's rather... limited. I'd check out Artstudio pro or Clip studio paint

I'll have a look at Artstudio pro and Clip Studio Paint. I was recommended ProCreate by BearHybrid. I like it so far because it's easy for me to learn and use, but I agree that it's limited. One issue I find with the iPad is constantly balancing the number of layers with the canvas resolution... I see people like Leilryu drawing enormous 12k x 8k images with like 40 layers, meanwhile, the iPad is kind of memory limited so I'm stuck at a 4K or below resolution.
But for ease of use, I'm loving the iPad all the same :)
ProCreate to me seems like the "hipster" art program. It's good if you have a simpler or very painterly style(although unfortunately the brush engine currently doesn't do blending well), but otherwise it's a bit of a pain. With resolution, yeaaah. Honestly, I recommend shooting for anything within 4k and 8k, it's enough detail(I do my ipad sketches at 4k and it works just fine). Just make sure to not zoom in too much while drawing! Artstudio pro is the one-time payment option for a more PC-like art experience, and CSP is pretty much the same as the PC version, but it's a subscription, so that's a thing to consider (although the cheapest one is like 2.99/mo to be fair)
The ipad is definitely great, has helped me a lot with drawing while traveling or lazing in bed! Especially if you get the keyboard with it as well, it can be used just like a regular drawing tablet.
A book could definitely help you I imagine! But the bulk of learning art is drawing, understanding what you are drawing and the parts that make it up.
