Now that the dust has settled and the announcement is done, I figured it'd be time to let people know what I'm personally working on.
I've been going through feedback and working on our first round of 2021 updates to the UI which I'm hoping to roll out by March, April at the latest. My focus is on trying to make the site feel more consistent and convenient to navigate, ironing out rougher areas (mainly mobile), and incorporating suggestions we've received. I have a few pages that are particular pet peeves for me, and I plan on focusing on areas where users spend a lot of time, then cleaning up the remaining pages in future updates (this way we have smaller, more consistent updates without holding things back for a larger update that takes longer to implement).
Keeping communication open is high on my agenda, too. A lot of people want to know what FA is planning and where we're going, and my goal is to keep you more update to date. I'm trying to turn over a new leaf with this new start, and we're excited for some of the upcoming changes!

Having keyword filters of the sort IB implemented would also be a godsend.

I know I've said this many times already, but all you'd have to do is just not watch them. Or better yet, we should use Fordoxia's option where there's a checkbox to opt out of reminders so they won't show up in our inbox? I'd very much like that.
Clicking said checkbox could prevent the submission from appearing on the front page (ala scraps), and could also potentially stop it from appearing in watchers' submission notifications if they click an accompanying "YCH opt out" checkbox in their settings.
It'll be nice be able to change account names as well, i've been wanting to change the name on my olde FA account for over a decade now since I find it to be rather cringe-worthy, I still sorta use that account for music uploads, but haven't logged into it or uploaded anything to it a long time.
But anyways, thank you for your commitment and passion to keeping FA alive, and your desire to make it site owned and run by Furries who care deeply about it.
and are we going to be able to save journals like we can already save pics?
and are we going to be able to change our usernames without having to create a new account and port everything over to the new account?

I could even see a step further, utilising APIs on Picarto and Piczel to introduce an indicator on an artist's profile to show if they're currently online streaming or not.
Regardless, looking forward to all the site upgrades, don't push yourself too hard.
I also don't mean to bombard you with suggestions and ideas, but I was curious is if there was a way you could add a mass favorite option to the global selections on our new submissions page? Would be a massive time saver when trying to go through and clean that out.
Is the username change really going to be a feature?

The YCH/adopt spam rule is being blatantly ignored along with alternate accounts used to "get around it" (even though the main account also ignores it.)
Ability to group new submission notifications by Artist and make clearing them out easier when there is hundreds, without being forced to nuke ones from ppl you don't wanna miss stuff from.
API when?
It allows you to queue posts and also post to multiple places at once (twitter, FA, DA, etc etc)
It's a life saver and I use it almost daily =3

I actually am kinda the opposite and wish I saw more adopts, while seeing less well, I will use the terms loosely "mega-fetishes." I mean I'm into what I'm into-hard to call it kink shaming when you don't disagree just aren't interested. I just practically ignore the home page and kinda regret using search terms sometimes. Least with the latter I certainly can't be in the minority.
