I’ve started a small pumpkin patch. Over 20 plants, 12 different varieties.
I know I have been gone for awhile with the occasional drop in. Life has been all consuming, but I do miss this place much.
So many reasons, but am trying to learn how to farm. And I’ll be recording how different plants handle different weathers and seasons... it’s a big experiment to see which pumpkins grow best in a hotter climate zone than what these pumpkins are traditionally planted in.
FA’s set up with galleries should make it easier to keep track and record progress.
Also been pondering what to call this little patch of ours.
For the love of Pumpkins❤️

You are probably in the exact same growing zone I am in! Zone 9. We’ve but down lime when prepping the beds, so hope we’ll be good. Gotta get out there and fertilize them soon again.
What else do you have growing?

Hope it works well for you!
Got lots of new fun things to experiment with and cook with. Got 5 ground cherry plants going and pattypan squash too, and My Malabar spinach just popped up! Wish I had you closer so I could just drop off a big box of goodies to play with!
Hopefully our Farmer's Markets will be opening soon here. We've still got snow in the forecast for this week. But quite a few farmers have stuff in protected beds, so they're getting some crops coming soon despite our weird Colorado weather.
