Yeah. The UI update last year was a big improvement, but it could be better. That's what I'm working on personally. The coders are busy working on fixing things up in the back end to support other features, which I hope to be able to start talking about soon.

PS: something that randomly occurred to me as a possible good idea is unlisted posts, so you can make your edits and maybe show to friends before actually publishing.

I don't know if I'm a fan of unlisted posts, as I feel like people could use it to skirt the rules.... but I do have some additional concepts in mind.

TOO many notifs. a function to keep only the "displayed" notifs would help

I actually followed up on the nuke question with the dev team, and apparently the nukes were upgraded to ICBMs so they nuke all messages now instead of only a set amount.

That's something I've been pondering. I agree it would definitely be useful, especially for comics, but I don't have a solution/plan for that *quite* yet.

FA is far, far from perfect. I love the site, but... there's definitely a lot of improvements that can be made. =3

How much if any of this will be ported over to the Classic interface? I've always been more partial to it over the New UI.

As we stated in the past, Classic will no longer be primarily supported, mainly because it doubles the amount of work we have to do and a large majority of FA users are moving to mobile, which Classic doesn't easily support. That's not to say we may NEVER do it, but I have no plans to improve Classic until the new UI changes are complete.

There ARE some features that we may port, but it will mostly be Modern first, Classic second... as again, it doubles the work we have to do to support it.

I get a lot of people like Classic, so I'm not ruling it out. A lot of the development is focused on vastly improving Modern to make it the kind of interface people will, hopefully, feel more comfortable using. It could be better, I know that -- and that's what I'm working on. =3

So it's not a no, just a "nothing in current planning".
