My Politics and Social views are ideas that I believe work. If something does not work I call it out.
I am getting really weird stories of tyranny coming from of all places.....Canada?
Anyone got a opinion or a story?
I want to hear.

Someone who's delusional will be confident the people shooting at them don't mean any harm.
My great Grandmother was experiencing a pain in her side she was in her late 70's and so she went to the doctor, they concluded that she was dealing with an Inflamed kidney and gave her antibiotics for it. But a couple weeks later the pain persisted and she was sure it wasn't her kidney (doctor tried to blame it on her drinking but she quit when she was 24 and wasn't a heavy drinker) So she looked for another doctors opinion and they said it was Arthritis and of course she was given painkillers ect ect. 5 years later she was in the hospital... Cancer, not Arthritis or Inflammation... Bloody Cancer, And if these god damn idiots did their job instead of trying to get people in and diagnoses them as quickly as possible to move onto the next... They would have actually fucking caught it and maybe bought her another 10-15 years. but no... They didn't care because they were being paid even if they put in the effort or not to do their job.
As for collage, Just like with the NHS, I think the lack of care would slowly ruin ACTUAL education, and in this day and age all School is good for now is indoctranationg your children with Liberal/Socialist/Democratic Morals and views. Schools should NOT be teaching things like critical race theory or telling kids that Socalism is the only way because it's not, and that forced viewpoint on impressionable children is disgustingly underhanded. Have an Open mind, Consider options Don't always vote Democrat/republican Liberal/Conservative. Actually use your brain and look into what both sides offer and decide for yourself which is best for you, your friends, your loved ones, and your country. The biggest problem is
"I don't know about politics so I don't know want to think, I'll just vote for who/what i'm told" <-- This is the viewpoint being forced onto kids.
They have NO god damn idea what is going on in the world. Rant over, I'm not saying you're wrong or anything just I don't agree and I think you're been mislead into thinking Universal healthcare is a Socialist idea (it's not).
also i was literally in high school up till 6 years ago and lemme tell you we were never taught any liberal/socialistic/democratic views, neither were we taught republican views, despite living in the south. crt was never mentioned once in my last year or two, and socialism was talked about, but in past tense. sure, most of my teachers disliked most republicans, but they never told us to vote liberal, democrat, independent, they just stated they disliked them and moved on.
Some years ago a Commonwealth country had their PM decide he was gonna be PM forever. This, historically, has lead to all kinds of trouble, civil wars, coups etc.
But the Brits have been around the block and know this one. They've seen this movie.
The Governor General fired the government and called an election.
Crisis....HALT!
The Governor General is exactly like a tourniquet. Totally useless until you need one, but when you DO need one, you have to have one, NOW, and nothing else will do.
Looking forward to it.
Not the “eat a Hobbit” accent.
Not sure what you're talking about, beyond the usual governmental oversteps and lethargic, oblivious, busy population treating it like winter and hoping it will go away if they simple endure it a few more months. In Quebec a few people were locked up for violating their self-isolation instructions, but that was months ago.
I don't listen to the news much, and the topics that have risen over that disinterest are relating to residential schools and a lot of child/baby skeletons. A lot, like hundreds.
As far as I know the border is still closed, people aren't supposed to travel, scrambling to get a vaccine dose is the new summer game.

I often have good luck looking up a local television station's news programs. They can't muck around much with the local news because too many people see the events. They also cover in more depth than any national news.

Social media posts claim that the Canadian Parliament voted to suspend elections “indefinitely,” in a power grab because of the pandemic. This is false; Canada’s constitution requires a federal election to be held every five years, political scientists expect Prime Minister Justin Trudeau to call one in late 2021, and the claim rests upon a non-binding House of Commons vote which said holding a ballot during the coronavirus emergency would be “irresponsible.”
“The ENTIRE federal government, including our ‘conservative’ members...voted to suspend elections indefinitely” until ‘after the pandemic,” claims a June 3, 2021 Facebook post. It added that they “essentially unanimously (sic) voted themselves dictators.”
However, the Canadian Charter of Rights and Freedoms prohibits any House of Commons from continuing beyond five years without a general election, making an indefinite delay in elections contrary to democratic rights enshrined in the Constitution.
A statute also says: “Each general election must be held on the third Monday of October in the fourth calendar year following polling day for the last general election,” which means that the next one should take place on October 16, 2023.
Prime Minister Justin Trudeau’s Liberal Party was elected for a second term in October 2019, but as a minority government relying on the backing of opposition parties.
Nelson Wiseman, professor of political science at the University of Toronto, called the claim that a federal ballot was put on hold indefinitely “ridiculous and not factual.”
Some real scum there!
