is it a total corruption/drone/hivemind kind of TF, like you're pushed to the backseat of your mind and body? or do you still retain some kind of decision making and control even though youve been corrupted by the Murkmite?

Well it depends on the kind of murkmite your infected with. The face variety are more typical of the stereotype "drone" where a murkmite attaches and basically "takes over" putting you in the backseat as you succomb to its mind control. It begins as a sort of backseat relationship with the parasite overtime slowly fusing with the original entity of the body until they merge together as a single corrupted entity in full control of their corrupted body. They refer to themselves as we and consider themselves a superiour version of their former self due to the parasite's brainwashing.

The chest variety immediately begins to twist the victim's mind but leaves them in control. They become aggressive and maniacal and slowly go insane due to the parasite's manipulation. They willingly begin to serve the hive and lead the face-infected drones due to their relative autonomy. At this point you are fully in control of your actions but not completely assimilated and indoctrinated.

The Brood infected are similar to the face infected in the way they are corrupted.

i'm a little picky with my corruption fetish, i adore corruption of morals and goals but dont like it when someone's identity is completely erased. on the other hand, being forcibly fused mentally and physically, where you're still kind-of yourself but you're hopelessly brainwashed into a different mindset, i find that to be really hot for some reason. and the whole infestation aspect of these creatures hits another one of my major kink-buttons too

Yeah the chest infected were made to appeal to corruption fans more and the face ones for people who like more drone-like identity wiping I think I foudn a good balance :>

Would there be social friction between head corrupted and chest corrupted. I have a feeling they would be as head would be feeling superior to the chest and vice versa.

You would think, but not really in practice. It is more of a difference in how they were assimilated. The chest infected still retain some
Individuality and the hosts mind albeit corrupted and hence are more useful when the hive needs a leader or is starting out. The face infected are moreso a completely subjugation of the host so they can be remolded as the hive sees fit. They all work together in the end as their ultimate goal is to spread the murkmite infection as far as possible regardless. I’m sure the whole hivemind aspect helps with friction too :)

Its going to be as tricky as Flood Coordinated stage to fight them. So I would join Vuul in fighting them.
