Long Overdue Updates
For the record, I can't really work professionally as an artist anymore. Been that way for a while. My hands have grown weak and a mix of damage to nerves and ligaments over time mean I can't work with much for too long without needing to stop. Not take a break, full stop, for the day. I've mentioned this outright in other places online but, largely avoided this place because of the tone I got from others on the site in seemingly normal interactions a few years back, with little change for the better on that since then.
I've worked with everything from iron and fine metals to stylus, quills and brushes with inks and paints of standard and hard to get levels of cost. It sometimes hurts to look at amazing, inspirational things and know all I can do is critique and teach or support when I see younger artists coming up. I wanna jam with folks like in the old days.
Over 20 years of making and selling art and graphic design projects of high variance that's hard to easily explain while doing all sorts of other work at the same time, like cooking or fixing aircraft. Amazing friends made along the way in industrial and private sectors in comics, advertising and private art studios. It was a wild ride that started when I was 15 and led to some truly weird and amazing places. Good times...
I'm still willing to talk to people on this site when I see the pings coming my way. I'm better reached elsewhere online. I'm out there. If you want to talk, go ahead and reach out.
