What the FFH Discord server is about

I wanted to make it clear what the Freaks For Harmony (FFH) Discord Server is about, so that people know what they're getting into:

- Organizing group events / Voice chat (Drawpile, Gartic Telephone, Jackbox, Minecraft) .. especially on Saturdays and Sundays! I voice chat there a lot so if you want to hear my lovely voice you know what to do~
- Exploring our identities together, because we're all complex, amusing, twisted, a tiny bit broken, and we each can have our own "thing". I get a huge kick out of bonding with others by learning about what they like, and them finding out what I'm into! Especially since I always felt like I was a bit of an oddball so I feel very comfy with oddballs like me, thanks internet >w>

The best way to get mileage out of the server is to:

- Get involved in events / niche channels, they're a great way to break the ice
- Get other people's input about things you're interested in/amused about
- Simply post art or other things you're interested in that you think others may like too
- Whenever you're curious about someone, try asking them a few things to get to know them better
You can also lurk and observe if you prefer to sit by the sidelines, people will get the hint (and if they don't and you get pinged, just say that you're a little shy). There's also a bunch of side niche things going on, but you don't need to get into every single nook and cranny. So if you see a ton of channels, it's normal to mute most of them except for the ones you're interested in. If you feel intimidated or it's not what you expected, don't feel guilty about leaving, it's normal.

How did it start?

I originally created this server back in my Picarto streaming days where it became a weekly ritual to meet up and hang out while dual streaming while people participate. I wanted a more permanent place where I can meet the people I had a really great time with and do things with them. I never planned to make a Discord server because I preferred to be in other people's servers and I didn't want to create one unless I had a good reason to. And then a good reason came along!
