I wish I could help you in any way but I suck at those things too. ^^;
It's all about how much the art resonates with the viewers (I guess). Did a few little tests over the past months and it seems to be true. So, drawing what your audience wants to see is a good way to get more feedback and stuff (again, me guessing) but you'll have to find out what they want to see and then there's the question if you enjoy drawing that stuff.

I've been spending a lot of time lately, thinking about where I want to go with my art because I feel like I've been stuck for quite some time. Getting no feedback on art that I'm actually proud of feels shitty and my low confidence doesn't take this very well, so in return I spend less time on personal projects because nobody cares anyways... I'm currently trying to get out of that downward spiral, trying to ignore if I get feedback or not but it's easier said than done.

Ignoring all the emotional aspects I'd say, as long as you get your commission slots filled and earn enough money to pay your bills, try not to worry too much about the numbers.
I always enjoy seeing your art (even if I don't always comment ><) and I know that a lot of others do too! You inspired a lot of young artists and I'm pretty sure you'll keep doing that in the future! ;)

instagram, twitter, fb, etc are all algorithm-based, for those that do like and comment on stuff you need to reply to literally all of them or at least like the comments to show engagement else even those that do will start to not see your work. Which is my issue with everyone that leaves gallery sites like this for them.

As for patreon, that's a different since someone HAS to pay to see anything and only can pay on one day. (first of the month). That has prevented me from supporting folks since that is the day I have the least money.
