About this woman…V. I’ll try to sum it up the best I can. You’ll find the rest on your desk.

She’s a wily one, this one. A ghost. One moment she’s on the ground in Bucharest and the next day, she’s on a cargo ship headed for Baku. She slips under the radar, and you wake up one morning to find out she’s somewhere in Nicaragua. Hasn’t been a fun ride for us, or our people in the field.

We don’t know how she does it, but she does it well. The work she does as an independent contractor has gained her a reputation with those who need to get things done. We’ve counted seventeen assassinations, twelve counts of arms trafficking, and thirty-seven counts of money laundering over the past four years.

She’s a star in the criminal underworld…and a bit of an urban legend in our circles.

Everyone on this floor knows her story well enough, and we don’t tend to repeat it. I’m doing this for your benefit, -name redacted-.

She was born in Lyon, 1984, to a family of farmers. Brother was a French corporal, KIA. Elder sister went on to become a practicing doctor in Nantes. ‘V’ herself went on to join the Gendarmes.

Met the love of her life a few years later, and as luck would have it, she was directly involved in busting a drug ring run by a group of Eastern European cartels. Didn’t go so well for her. About two days after promotions all around, her car was shot up by two guys with Kalashnikovs on a French highway.

She took two rounds to the shoulder, and another in the stomach.

Husband didn’t make it. Unborn kid didn’t either.

She survived, but, well…something snapped. We don’t know what happened in the time gap before she started her spree, but one can assume she spent her time damn well.

Seven months after the shooting, a club in downtown Paris gets hit. Hard. Seven dead, all of them from the same group that she was involved in busting. We suspect one of them, -name redacted-, ordered the hit on her. Classic case of revenge.

No one could believe it. Her colleagues certainly didn’t. The surveillance footage of her walking in and shooting the place up like the 4th of July? That was the last they would ever see of her.

From then on, she was working out of France as a liaison to a small rebel group in Mali. She was selling illicit arms at the time, small time stuff.

We tracked her down to a small city in the States about a year ago, and she’s been sitting right under our noses since.

Funny thing, looks like she’s laying low. We didn’t receive any flags on her aliases at any international borders, and the newbie, -name redacted- here found a little base of operations she’s been using. Small apartment down by -redacted- Street.

We tracked her down to another apartment she’s been sharing with a rodent interest of hers. No new reports of any of her typical…activities, but she has been investing quite a bit of her time in something else lately.
