Life Updates, Recap, Future Plans, & Wedgegiving 2021
4 years ago
Hey! It's been a while since I threw down my thoughts in a FA Journal. I wanted to give y'all a few updates, thanks for reading in advance!
So to summarize: I graduated from art school over 4 months ago with honors! It was a long, arduous, but ultimately rewarding adventure, and I got to meet and work with a ton of talented and lovely people along the way. Since then I've been working full-time, while side-hustling with some University department work and chipping through a rather huge commission queue; with all of that having since been uploaded here and on Twitter. Combined with weekly apartment hunting with my roommates, entering a wonderful polyamorous relationship, and the trials and tribulations of the American Healthcare System- I've been pretty dang busy!
However, things are finally starting to somewhat settle into place, and I think I'm ready to jump back into being more creative (and chatty!) online again. I'm setting more rigid schedule structures at my primary job for the sake of my mental health, getting the necessary bloodwork done for medication prescriptions, and freeing up more of my offtime for a return to storytelling projects.
Without further ado- Here's some of the things I have planned for September and the coming months!
-The launch of Fallout: Sireland: A parody Fallout Equestria comic based on a DnD campaign both myself and some close buds have been engaged in for over a year and a half. I've wanted to get back into MLP-related art for a long time, and this is the perfect opportunity to do so. You can expect the first few pages up within the week!
- Of Blood and Tephra Comic Updates: Regular Bi-Weekly comic updates will be returning effective immediately. You will also see the current pages have a few tweaks done this week as I re-letter and format certain things to fit the new standard.
(In a similar vein: the Biomech species sheet is already in its coloring stage and should be up in a few days. Canon Gunlizard references!)
- TinkerQuarry QoL Update: Steam testing branch game updates will continue to roll out as I finish revamping the art for the project, the credits cinematic and combat system will take the most time but will see the largest improvement.
-Wedgegiving 2021: Tis the season. Applications for this year's spam of free sergal-y headshot badges will open in early October! Free and first-come-first-serve as always. Keep your peepers peeled for the journal.
- Artist Collective / Caprizant Games Rebrand : A shared psudonym with Abraxoros / digital studio will be softlaunched very soon, with adjustments to the OBAT website made to reference the collective brand. TinkerQuarry and its Steam Page will also have its 'Caprizant Games' splash title swapped over to this new psudonym.
- Two Lamplight and Similar: Scenes and related comics, portraits, and other assets will be uploaded here as stuff rolls out, more collaborative storytelling!??
That's all from me, I hope you enjoy the stories yet to come!
