Welp.... My dad drive died
Was booting up my computer just now and heard a 'pop!' From the enclosure that my data drive that I keep story rough drafts and old finished projects on. Opened the enclosure up and acrid smoke from the control board wafts up so the drive itself is dead.
Most of what I've been working on is backed up on Google drive so that is good. Unfortunately the finished files for the middle two books I had written for 'Terran Wars' are gone and I was seriously considering going back and posting these hear after a few changes:(

I am so sorry to hear that happened.

Ouch. I'd been looking forward to see what came next in that series. There might be a possibility that you could salvage the drive by putting it in another enclosure. Sending it to a recovery service might be another possibility, though that tends to be an expensive proposition.

OP
There were a couple other authors I worked with on the series. I don't expect them to have saved the archive unfortunately. I never explicitly asked them too because I had the backup of my own and the last decade or so has been kinda a wild ride.

Do you have enough to reconstruct them? I can see what I've got saved.

OP
I'll have to see. I know brock's old sight no longer exists so I'm not that hopeful

I always tried to save off copies of everything that got posted. I just have to find where I stashed them all.

Dangit. And I'd just been rereading some of it myself.
