As fate would have it, time found the Second Prince and the owner of the Sweet Shoppe, crossing paths. The prince had passed by her shoppe, once or twice, but never entered it. He never felt worthy of being in the presence of the daughter of his secret lover, and so, barely allowed himself even a passing glance.

But, one day, the golden queen, along with the other Sweet Shoppe girls, were invited to the palace. This invitation presented the shoppe staff before the royals, making his avoidance of her, no longer possible. Yet, if he was going to be in her presence, he felt the need to make a soul-searching confession to the beautiful girl, that so greatly resembled her angelic mother. Quietly, he asked her to join him on a walk to the rose garden.

The two cats strolled down the flower maze and listened to the sound of crickets chirping as they walk along. She could tell that something was making him uneasy. He had called her out here for a reason and from his demeanor, it suggested that it might be something wrong.
