Can We Talk About the Mario Movie Voice Cast for a Bit?

Hi there
First I knew they were not going to use the original game voices for this movie this is a big Hollywood film being made from a big Hollywood studio so of course, they going to use big-name actors for this movie and getting mad and upset over the fact that Chris Pratt is voicing Mario without seeing a trailer is a little immature. Yes, we don't how well Chris Pratt or any of the other voice cast is going to play their characters, we don't know how the story is going to be or what the setting is, or how the animation is going to look. So I'm going to hold my judgment on the movie until the first trailer drop more likely in the next Nintendo Direct cause Nintendo has their hand in this film. even then I'm still probably going to end up watching this film whether the trailer is good or bad. so until then, I'm not going to say anything about this movie or the cast until I get more info on it.

Not to mention the original voice actor of mario is indeed stated to be in the movie. I believe they'll probably have him voice extras or maybe even have him voice 'retro' mario in the story in an old meets new kinda deal.

Just... out of every famous actor, why Chris Pratt? I get he stated he dreamed about this, but I can tell there are a bunch of others who can do it better than he can. Guess, we're also going to wait and see how well (or poorly) he voices Mario.

It's so insane to me how Charles Martinet is part of the cast for the Mario movie... but not the voice of Mario??

To me I think Chris Pratt as Mario is cool and I know that Illumination is an studio that some people are not an fan of but they do have some really good animation in one of there movies but the cast for the Mario movie to me is great I not others may not be happy about it

It doesn't really bother me. The problem with the live action movie wasn't the cast, it was the laughable effects, the utterly tone deaf script, the pretentious directors that everyone on set hated... need I go on?

Well I see this going one of two ways, it will blow like Fireworks on New Years and be a smash hit -OR- It will blow and be a box office bomb. But considering this Illumination who's behind some good movies like The Secret Life of Pets, Sing, Despicable Me and the Dr. Seuss CGI movies...I'm going to give this a shot.
